I contacted AGL to confirm the number and it is indeed a scam.

claimed to be All energy who I have account with however they were asking too many questions as to my details so I told them If they don't have these details they are not who they say they are and hung up.

You shouldn't hang up on these idiots. Play along and waste their time that is the way to stop them. I spent almost 20 minutes this morning having the time of my life. A week ago I had an Insurance Company scammer call talking about car accidents. After I told him that we had 15 people in the car during the accident who got very excited. Don't they realise that their accents give them away?

This number called me today, no voicemail left, did a google search and found this lovely thread.
I am an AGL customer however I won't be calling them back.

Constant missed calls from this number and they NEVER leave a message. I refuse to answer now

They keep ringing and asking for personal details, I ended up telling them to get f***ed.

AGL "survey", asking too many questions about me, I said you have my details, I'm with AGL, why do I have to give then to you AGAIN, said was for secrutiy purposes, SO i also asked a lot of questions of them "for security reasons".... so they hung up.

Missed a call from this number seemed abit suspicious, did some research mostly from reverse Australia and can indeed confirm this is a scamming company claiming to be AGL.
Blocked there number and have been getting constant voicemails being left by this so called company.

This is a SCAM , Always question them about the account number first. They will fold and hang up..
The number (03) 8613 9206 is still in use as of 5th NOV 2018.

At first I thought this was a scam. A woman phoned me on my mobile and claimed to be from AGL. She told me what suburb I live in and then asked me for my address. I was not comfortable telling her so I asked her to email me to prove that she really was from AGL and not a scammer. She refused to do it so I hung up.

I then phoned AGL and asked if they had tried to contact me. The man looked into my account and said yes they had tried to but I refused to confirm my details. They made out it was MY fault when in reality they are the ones to blame. It was them who phoned me so they have the responsibility to prove to me who they are. I do not agree with how they make contact. They need to be more mindful of security and help us to have peace of mind by confirming who they are.

Call from (03) 8613 9206 today July 4th 2017. Firstly a short, suspicious pause before a pseudo Philipno 'lady' said she was from ASIO (it could have been AGL) and asked me if I was ++++++. I hung up. I have received no further calls.

Same, I've just had 2 missed calls from this number am also an AGL Customer, won't be answering if they try a 3rd time!

Even AGL's virtual assistant wants to know your full name, DOB and mobile number before they can advise you of the number belongs to AGL or not...REALLY!

I didn't recognise the number so didn't answer. I then checked this website and saw posts. I too am an AGL customer, so assume it was a scam.

I messaged the AGL Facebook group and they confirmed that it is an AGL number

Picked up after a delay. Indian voice claiming to be from AGL. Had a name and said it was a feedback call to check that I was happy with the service. Sounds like the real reason for the call is that he had a list and was confirming the presence of an AGL account for future scam. When I was hesitant he suddenly hung up.

Don't say yes to any of their questions when they call. Unfortunately I have a feeling I did but they are dodgy for sure. Perhaps if companies stopped selling our private information, these types of calls would stop too.

A male caller with a fake American accent saying there were from AGL called for customer Feedback but when I asked for clarification on which property they were referring to - that where they came unstuck. They then started asking me for my date of birth email account and information that my provider already has ? When I refused to give information they terminated the call.

I have just phoned AGL and they confirmed that they have not contacted me today. Definitely a scam.
