Yes it's FedEx its probably sometime you ordered from overseas and you need to pay Gst and custom expenses because it's over $1000.00 in value. I called back number (03) 7001 1487 spoke to a guy who said company name is Fedex. Caller: scammers
do not believe all the fake reviews saying it is fedex, it is not fedex, it's really a scam.
It is Fedex, I was receiving something from overseas and customs wanted to confirm the contents of the parcel. It's not over $1000 or anything like that.
This is a valid FedEx number. They rang but did not leave a message. A few minutes later I received an email from Fedex with a shipping document for an item I had ordered from the US. The email said:
"Your shipment is currently delayed under clearance process. We immediately require your FULL NAME for customs clearance. Please supply the required info to this email with your tracking number on the subject."
As the shipping document only had my first name initial FedEx just needed my full name. No problems. Yes, they should have left a message to say who they were, but its a high volume company.....
Not spam. Actually FedEx, and you probably have to pay GST and Import charges. It is a scam. I have no reason for Fedex to call me. I did not recognise the number so I did not answer. Legitimate FEDEX call about an incomplete address on a package I was expecting from the US. Fedex scammer Caller: Fedex Maybe or a scam part of Fedex...either way its a scam....Trust me PLEASE READ
These people do this all the time, I import from overseas and i am aware of any duties and taxes that i have to pay, knowledge is the key to overcoming this scam, yes it is a scam, as i constantly get asked to pay duties from these people when i know i do not, but each time they try it on to extract extra cash out of me, the scam is part of Fedex as they know my name and business. Always ask for an invoice to be sent to you to breakdown the costs, you will soon see where they are adding additional dollars to your bill, what annoys me the most is these people are getting away with daylight robbery and nothing is being done about it, when the truth finally comes out, they just say sorry it was a mistake. I pray & hope this helps everyone, stay safe.
Legit call from FedEx regarding incomplete paperwork for an inbound shipment.
This is a real number, It might come up on your phone as a potential fraud but it is real, if you don't trust it call fedex direct 132610 or if its customs use the 1800 111 112.
So I got paranoid because of all the people here saying it is a scam so although I really was expecting a parcel from the US and to pay customs, I called Fedex on their listed number of 132610 and paid the duties/tax that way. They confirmed that I needed to pay customs.
I suggest people do that if they feel nervous but are really expecting a parcel and don't want to call back on that number.
DISREGARD EVERYONE THAT SAYS ITS A SCAM.
This is Fedex
I got two missed calls from this number they left a message informing me that they were Fedex and I owe tax on an item I ordered from US. I called back they asked for my tracking number and all my details came up. I was owing gst on an item over $1000aud which I was expecting from the US.
I then further investigated as all the people saying it’s a scam got me worried. Called the official fedex customer service line. Where I shared my tracking number. They were then able to identify myself and where my purchase is being delivered. I then asked him if he can clarify that the number I just called back to pay gst isn’t a scam as I was worried. He told me not to worry that number is the “Duty and Tax Team” and everything was legit.
Both customer service staff were Filipino! - from the Duty and Tax Team (03) 7001 1487 and the Fedex Customer service number I called myself from their official website.
I hope this puts all scam claimers to bed. As they had me freaked out and they are wasting everyone's time.
Caller: They said TNT
The caller knew my name & phone number, the senders name, and one of the item in the package I'm having sent from the US. TNT do regional deliveries for DHL in SA.
Expect they have hacked the DHL web site and spoofed the number. Wanted credit card details. It's a good scam, you've got to give them that.
Legitimate FedEx call. Caller states they are FedEx. Number is being spoofed and they are not FedEx but scammers. Caller: Fedex
I was expecting an order from overseas and they are collecting payable GST.
I contacted fedex, this IS the email I was required to use to send through documentation they needed to stop a delay on clearance for my parcel from the US.
This number belongs to Fedex, they were able to pull up my information once I gave them my tracking number, doesn't seem to be a scam. Had to pay duty/tax fees for shipments from America
