DISREGARD EVERYONE THAT SAYS ITS A SCAM.

This is Fedex
I got two missed calls from this number they left a message informing me that they were Fedex and I owe tax on an item I ordered from US. I called back they asked for my tracking number and all my details came up. I was owing gst on an item over $1000aud which I was expecting from the US.
I then further investigated as all the people saying it’s a scam got me worried. Called the official fedex customer service line. Where I shared my tracking number. They were then able to identify myself and where my purchase is being delivered. I then asked him if he can clarify that the number I just called back to pay gst isn’t a scam as I was worried. He told me not to worry that number is the “Duty and Tax Team” and everything was legit.
Both customer service staff were Filipino! - from the Duty and Tax Team (03) 7001 1487 and the Fedex Customer service number I called myself from their official website.
I hope this puts all scam claimers to bed. As they had me freaked out and they are wasting everyone's time.

The caller knew my name & phone number, the senders name, and one of the item in the package I'm having sent from the US. TNT do regional deliveries for DHL in SA.
Expect they have hacked the DHL web site and spoofed the number. Wanted credit card details. It's a good scam, you've got to give them that.

This number belongs to Fedex, they were able to pull up my information once I gave them my tracking number, doesn't seem to be a scam. Had to pay duty/tax fees for shipments from America

As of July 2018, the review from Anonymous from 8 MONTHS AGO on reverseau dot com is word for word the same as the review posted on scamphoneau dot com 4 DAYS AGO!!!!!!

Anybody who posts this on ANY review site:

"It is actually FEDEX. They will be calling to advise Customs duties, AQIS fees, etc., for the import. You’ll have 5 days to pay for your incoming goods, or they’ll return it to sender and you incur further fees for shipping. You will find they are based in Phillipines. I deal with them all the time. They are frustrating because it’s difficult to get an Aussie voice to deal with probs. Try 132610 - you’ll get the same voices, it’s FEDEX."

is PART OF THE SCAM!!!!

Unquestionably a scam. Stated they were from Fedex (no idea how they got my mobile number) and that they wanted my email address. Fedex HAVE my email address. Spoofing a Melbourne/Victoria telephone number. Most likely from the Philippines by the sound of the accents. Please folks, don't give them any info. If you are waiting on a delivery from Fedex (which in Australia will be via StarTrack (owned by Australia Post) or Australia Post themselves in the vast majority of cases, get in touch with Fedex directly.

This is totally a scam guys. These guys claimed I asked them to call me back about duty payments on an armband watch I bought. They didn't say they're FedEx, some other company name. They were also somehow fishing for my name, first asking for Sophie, and when I saud there's no such person here, they suddenly knew my real name.

Anyway, I didn't order anything, most definitely not an armband watch. In fact I haven't lived in Australia for the last 9 months and didn't buy anything to be shipped there.

My recommendation is, do not engage with them. Super scammy.

I'm also on the no call list, so not sure why they're attempting this, but I just hung up. Dodgy af.

Hi, this is a scam. I was called by this number and they left a voicemail asking me to email or call them on the following details: 132610
aucdndoc @ fedex.com

If you go on the Fedex website, those contact details are not there. That is generally the best way to know whether it is the company calling or a scam. I received a call from this number again, I advised them that I believed it was a scam, the person I was speaking to became flustered and hung up the phone. I am now lodging a complaint with Consumer Affairs.

Received alot of missed calls from this number. Finally picked up and it was an international voice on the other end asking me to pay GST on a watch I bought online because it was over >$1000. They sent me the airway bill which I confirmed with my friend whos a customs broker and she confirmed it was legitimate. Even though I confirmed everything, I insisted on making payment at a FedEx depot. I made the drive to my closest FedEx depot and paid in person and collected my package on the day. I say, make the drive to your closest depot just to be on the safe side.

FYI - import duties are paid to the ATO not the goods supplier.

I purchased a watch online and it was to be shipped via FedEx from US to AUS. Received a crazy amount of missed calls from this number - checked online and saw this stream of comments which seemed to have half saying its FedEx making us pay import duties/GST and half saying its fake. I left it to see how it pans out. Received my delivery today- everything is fine. Which proves it is definitely a scam. If they demand payment just ask them for a tax invoice and customs report (showing import duties, GST etc) sent to you via email from FedEx. Youd rather be safe and potentially delay your delivery than pay out to low life scammers.
