It is actually FEDEX. They will be calling to advise Customs duties, AQIS fees, etc., for the import. You’ll have 5 days to pay for your incoming goods, or they’ll return it to sender and you incur further fees for shipping. You will find they are based in Phillipines. It is the FEDEX Customer Service call centre.
I deal with them all the time. They are frustrating because it’s difficult to get an Aussie voice to deal with probs. Try 132610 - you’ll get the same voices, it’s FEDEX.
Actually ask for the Airway Bill (AWB) number, it’ll be 12 digits long. Then call FEDEX on 132610 and quote the AWB number and they’ll confirm for you. Pretty simple.

I ordered some health equipment from the US and paid for shipping at that time. I was surprised to get a call from this number and to be told that I needed to pay a customs tax for my parcel to be released once it arrives in Aust. (No GST as it is a health product). Does this sound legit?
