Rang 3x in one day and didn’t leave a message. Annoying. I messaged Optus through the app after reading the comments here and didn’t get anywhere. I haven’t tried to contact Optus.

Caller: claiming to be 24/7

Picked up the phone to talk about my recent purchase. I asked what purchase and reply was to a recent online purchase. Asked again what is the exact purchase and mentioned its for a sim plan and i asked what carrier. Mentioned Optus. Then he repeated the sentence saying " I am calling to talk about your recent purchase of your plan with Optus". Straight red flag and Hung up. Scammer for sure

Number keeps calling every day or 2. Looks like from the other reviews that it's Optus but not sure. If it was anything important surely they'd leave a voicemail but they never do

Caller with a heavy accent claimed to be from Optus but wanted me to verify my personal information. As if, mate, you called me. Hung up on him.

Keep getting calls from this number, which is since blocked. They never leave a message. I note other reports of this very number. Annoyingly my days was spoiled by Optus so suspect just another scammer. If it was Optus calling me regarding my current complaint (of which I have had a few) they know which number to ring me on, which is not the number that this scammer rings me on

Ian said he was from Optus and wanted to discuss upgrades and offers with me. Part of the verification process was to send me a 4-digit code to enter into my phone. Very suspicious behaviour.

Be careful. It’s a scam. When I called Optus using their telephone number it went to this lady. Unfortunately I provided my details. Optus really stuffed up and I became victim

The number is NOT OPTUS. OPTUS confirmed this is the latest doing the scam rounds.

Caller claimed to be from Optus and has an Indian accent. Called me by my legal name. He said he wanted to know if I’m happy with my current service and offer new phone plan. Glad that I googled the phone number while on the call or I wouldn’t find out is a scam.

Did not answer, they forgot to hang up and left a message. It was basically background noise and a bunch of non English speakers having a laugh in a foreign language occasionally talking about NBN and optus.

An Optus case manager who had spent a lot of time helping me solve a problem rang me back on that number to confirm the problem was solved, which, thanks to his persistence, is.

Left no message. Returned call but no one answered. Just had a female answering msg. I suspect it’s a scam from this number.

SCAM. This number left no msg. When I called back there was a female answering msg stating it was Optus. There was NO ‘press 1 for’ or ‘press 2’ for….. when I last received an Optus call despite it allegedly coming from them, an Indian accented man claimed to be from Deal Vista (doesn’t exist) & the kicker was ‘ma’am, ma’am…it’s a kick in d’ stomach if you don’t get this free modem now and ALL the new benefits.’ In other words, hurry and do this. Anyone tells you to do something immediately it’s always a scam. Also, he had a script and for a full 80 seconds kept talking. When he finished I said ‘beg your pardon?’ & he did it all again! Complete with “ma’am” every couple of seconds. Scam, for sure.
