Caller: This number in question Unfortunately scammers can mirror a legitimate phone number just to obtain your details. One commenter did the right thing by calling Vodafone directly and clarified it’s not their process to call out to customers and ask for their PIN number. I guess we just need to ignore this number when you don’t need anything from voda 🤷🏻♀️

Caller: Vodafone Stunned at how many people don't know the purpose of a pin number check is to identify, they are talking to the actual person that owns the phone. It is a legit call, about plans. Has nothing to do with Voda scammers.

Caller: Said it was vodafone I got an indian guy saying he was from Vodafone - so far legit, and he asked if I wanted to upgrade my phone plan, but wanted to verify my identity first. I said to him he needed to give me my name first and he said due to privacy he cannot tell me my name until I have verified my PIN number. He then suggested I go to the website and view offers on there and hung up. Apparently they call was recorded for the usual reasons so management of vodafone should take a big look at their cold calls and stop them. If it was Vodafone.

Caller: Claimed they were from Vodafone I was immediately suspicious because the number got a "potential fraud" warning. Answered it and it rang and after a count of 4 a person with a strong accent spoke. They claimed they were from Vodafone and wanted my PIN. If this is a genuine call, how dare they ring me in the middle of my work day and demand I prove my identity.
My advice, treat this number with suspicion.

I got a missed call from this number and looked it up and now I am thankful I didn’t call back, last week I had a man call me from “vodaphone” telling me it was time to update my plan and get a new phone and I told him I’m pretty happy with my plan as it was only new and my phone was not that old and I was happy with that too and that he should know that if he has access to my details...
Not sure why but I am signed up with vodaphone and I’m now wondering if they have leaked our personal numbers to have this many people complaining about the same thing ....
Should we be trusting our phone provider!??
