It's obviously an outbound telephone centre working with numerous charities. These places don't just pluck random numbers out of thin air, you have always given your number somewhere along the line. It is the job of these people to raise funds for charities and all they are doing is calling to have a chat and ask you to donate. There is no need to be abusive; either ignore the calls, or simply answer the first time and politely tell them to be taken off the call register...

I donate monthly to UNICEF and i've been receiving these rotten call constantly everyday for 3 weeks now. No messages left. It is getting to the point I will cancel my donaation to get them off my back.

I have signed up for the Do Not Call program https://www.donotcall.gov.au/

It only works if you confirm your activation email at the end.

One of the stipulations is that if you have a pre existing relationship with the organisation ie. UNICEF then the Do Not Call won't work.

I agree. Leave a message and I would be inclined to call back. The persistent calling makes me think they won't take a polite "please don't call anymore." Too many charities are getting extremely pushy lately, especially when you have already donated.

Also getting up to three calls a day, the times I do answer they hang up...... very annoying. The calls have been happening for the last month, you would think they would have given up by now.

This and many other numbers, began calling me continuously, day & night, 7 days a week, they are relentless! They started after I filled out a survey on fb, the ones where you can win $ $&vouchers. I suggest not falling for the bs to begin with.

This is a company called Mondial Telecommunications Charity Fundraising

they have an ABN of 76 111 952 615

Charities employ this company to pester you.

charities are ALLOWED to contact you. even if you are on the do not call register.

it isnt the companys fault. nor the charities.
if you do not wish to participate. tell them!

They do NOT call randomly. At some point each of us have registered for some nonsense giveaway via FB or online. Online surveys, competitions etc will all sell your contact details, as I have learnt the hard way. You'll probably be getting your email inbox filled with freebie offers as well.

Have received 2 calls in 2 days from this number. First call I couldn't take and no message was left, but he rang again tonight claiming to be the Royal Flying Doctor's Service.
He knew my first name and the fact that I'd bought a 'patch of sky' in their recent ad campaign. He was asking me to become a regular donor. Ie: $20 every month, tax deductible.
I told him outright that I do not give credit card details out over the phone to just random people calling and told him I would look on the RFDS legit website and go from there. He didn't seem to be overly bothered and only pressed me once to give him my details.
He hung up on quite a cheerful note, so I'm not quite sure if he was the real deal or an Oscar Award winning actor.

My advice would be not to give any details over the phone to anyone asking for them, whether they sound legit or not.

I started to have phone calls from this number yesterday (twice). It called me early this morning (Saturday) again - I planned to have a good sleep until late morning today which was disturbed by the phone call. I donated only about a month ago to Unicef and I started to have phone calls after the donation - the same as World vision, I donate, then I get phone calls from them for more donations. Please do not annoy people who donate...then we might stop donating to you.

I've had multiple missed calls from this number. When i answered it today it was someone from green peace trying to get me to sign up to be a member, paying $30 a month. No thanks.
