Picked up to this number. Said I was in a car accident and wanted to see how I was going. Told them I don't drive. She was insisting that I did drive and was in one. You can only imagine my reaction.

I just got another call from this scam mob. A girl with an Irish accent. As soon as she said car accident I said "Stop right there. This is a scam. I dont have a car. Dont call me again." She hung up. I have gone onto the Do Not Call register and made a complaint because my mobile is registered there and has been for a long time. I'm sure the calls are from the UK. Which ever Telco should cut the phone number off but of course they wont because the bottom line is money. The Telcos are complicit in these scams as they take the money from the calls made and phone rentals etc.

They have called me a number of times. If I answer and they don't hang up straight away, I lead them on for ages about the "accident" I had and how thankful I am they called. Just tie them up as long as you can (if you have the time to waste).

Had a phone call from a similar number roughly two months ago and they called again the other day.
The first time they called, I was told they were from a follow up service and wanted to make sure that I was ok and that I was satisfied with the overall performance of what ever co. they represented after that he mentioned that I was in an accident within the last 3 years and I said "An accident huh?
Really, I WASNT IN AN ACCIDENT!"
And he hung up so damn quickly I started laughing!

we had a number of calls about the same matter from a company called 'accident claim services' I ask numerous questions which she could not answer. those who has been contacted should make a report to Scamwatch: https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam.

Called a motor vehicle accident I supposed to have had 2 years ago. Said he was from the government tasked to recover monies. Had a Pommie accent. Asked me for my personal details. Told him I wasn't going to him any such thing. Politely told him to bugger off.

Missed call so rang back. Female said her colleague rang me. I asked their company name she explained details re. car accident in past 2 years. I pretended I did have minor accident in last 2 years and she fished for details.
I actually can find out their address via friend at MAJOR telco.
Curious what they're trying to do

How do they get my name as the car is registered in my husbands and the phone in my maiden. This is bullsh*t - and the last five times they called I've told them so. Should be able to bar this number, I'm really over them.
