I just received a call from this number, same modus operandi - "follow up services" about a car accident in the past two years. They had my name . When I said I had no context for the call he said "I will terminate the call then" and promptly did so.
I've logged the call with Telstra at: https://say.telstra.com.au/customer/general/forms/UNWELCOME-CALLS-INITIAL-ENQUIRY-FORM
I'd suggest anyone who has a similar call does so as well - it's a concern they had my name when they called.

Scam. Probably displays a false computer generated phone number which only has busy signal if called using prefix 1831.

Fed Up With Scam Callers From Indian descent
Posted on July 6, 2016 Caller type: Scam Location: Australia
I rang it back and I didn't give my name, i rang from a different number than it rang me. I said I had missed a call form this number. They had very very bad English, it was so noisy in the back ground I could hardly hear his Indian accent. He didn't ask my name just told me that me or a member of my family had been involved in a car accident in the last 2 then he said no 3 years. I told him no i haven't had any accidents and take my number of this list. OK he said and hung up. Scammers. Block the number.

I have received many calls from this number. When I accept and said hello, there is no answer and the line is cut off. I think this a scammer to steal my voice and I have blocked it. I am wondering whether there is a way to filter such number if there is many people report it.

Just received a call from these scammers. I saw how this scam works in the UK on Facebook, don't give any details even if you have had an accident.
