Received a call from this number today advising they are from some insurance and that I have had an accident but when asked the Date of Accident, he couldnt give me a date, just said in the last 12 months. I have not had an accident at all.

Just called me, delayed connection. Asked for a Michelle, no Michelle at this number (had the same one for over 10 years). Apologised and told me they would "take me off their list". 😑

These bastards rang me today on my mobile wanting to talk to me about an accident I was supposed to have had, have not had one for years. They are scammers.

If you answer this number they will immediately hang up.
If you call back, as I did, the number will connect and will say the line is busy, but will still try to connect.
You cannot hang up.
I turned my phone of to sever the connection.
It deactivated my iPhone and I could not reactivate using a mobile connection.
I had to wait until I was in range of a wifi network to reactivate my phone.

They call and say the call and have your name on their records. They say this is about your recent car accident. This is where I became suspicious as I have over 30 years of accident free driving. Very pushy, and insist on continuing with the conversation.
