Called my nana's phone, and when I answered they hung up. Tried to call them back and it was a dial tone. Probably trying to scam the elderly!

Car accident scam, calling any number looking for accidents. Block the number as they don't stop calling.

I have had seven calls from this number or a variation of it. I agree with everything said above. The caller got very shirty with me when I refused to confirm that I was the person he was looking for. He told me I was a rude person and he would ring back later. I told him he wouldnt get me to answer the phone. Have put the number on auto reject, but i will recognise it and refuse to answer. They are TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! Have nothing to do with them for your own safety

Hi there, I have just moved from one cell phone provider to another and have sent three emails complaining about the lack of service at my previous provider now I have just started getting phone calls from some smart arse about the recent car accident I apparently had. Just saying.

I feel like they are trying to work out when I answer the phone. When I do answer there is always a bit of a break before they speak.
Whenever they mention a possible car accident they always seem to expect I will say "No".
Today the guy said my name in a way that appeared he wanted me to know that he knows my nickname.
I feel very uncomfortable about it all.

Called me asking if I was involved in a car accident, I asked him where his calling from he said Joe Jones from Esure ( He was reluctant to give me details, he said it really quickly the guy with very strong English accent) . And he even said "I am asking you a question , why are you asking me questions?" . And he sounded very rude and unprofessional. Definitely scammers, do not give them any details. This phone no appears which Bankstown location.

Absolute scam! E-Sure
I am thinking they picked my number up after an employee had an accident in a company car and my number was given to the tow truck company for the towing and storage of the vehicle before going to our insurer... they call our office also. They get excited when challenged about the "Do Not Call Register" - after the number of calls I get - I just say "Supervisor Supervisor Supervisor Supervisor Supervisor" until I get the "Manager" I think guy sitting next to him. All people with accents and possibly part timers...
Give it to them... maybe they will get the idea - propably not!

Got a call at work from this number today, when I asked the English accented female on the other end what she was calling about, she claimed that I was busy & that she would ring back later & then hung up. Thank you all for you comments above, I have now blocked this number, but if they do ring again at least I know what I am dealing with.
