I had a call from this number today, which also identified as Bankstown on my phone. The lady calling identified herself as 'Sophie' from 'Esure'. Not recognising the company, I asked her to repeat it, but the phone call ended abruptly. I looked up the number on this website and saw all these posts regarding accidents. Although today's phone call didn't get that far, I have had several calls in the past from various numbers, asking me the same question. I couldn't help wondering if 'Sophie' wasn't meant to identify herself or the company, and that's why the call was terminated. I was still unsure if I'd heard the company name correctly (sorry about the pun) and googled it. It came up as an English insurance company. I looked at several reviews of the company and almost all that I looked at were terrible - giving them 1 out of 5 stars. I think there were about 10 pages of reviews. I haven't heard of them. Maybe someone knows if they are already in the Australian market - or if they are trying to break in. In any case, I think it would be better to avoid them! They sound dodgy!

Keep getting calls from the same person on this number talking about a 'car accident' I have been involved in. Which I have not. Gets very abusive when I ask for details about where he is calling from and what his company does and progressed to asking for his DOB and personal details. I don't know how he sleeps at night. Scamming bastard.

Answered my phone at work & advised I was too busy to not have him explain what the call was in regards to. He then advised I was obviously not busy enough if I answered my phone. SO RUDE. Will be making a complaint when I can get to the bottom of who this company actually is!

Same - claiming I was involved in a road accident. I have answered and said that I haven't (though they knew my name) but they keep on ringing.

Frequent calls. Blocking doesn't seem to work. They will not reveal their full names. Hung up on me.

They called me three times. The first time I got a missed call. When I call back is disconnected. The second time is call from a lady, she said I haven't paid insurance. And the third time, I just got the learner license and never drive before. He said that I have had car accident.

Scam . I abused the Indian operator for being a Thief and that people like them perpetuated the Stereotype of Indians being Thieves . This rattled the operator before they hung up . But they still keep calling back
