Fake ATO Scam

same here. I say scam

Missed call from this number and a voicemail was left from an automated machine saying that a lawsuit has been filed under my name and to contact their department for more information. Voice was not an Australian accent. Called the number a few times and cuts off.

Identical call to the OP. ATO Scam call with the same spoofed Caller ID (02) 8006 8675 American male voice on the recorded message playing the spiel of "you're being investigated for tax fraud blah blah blah etc."

Had the same call just now.

I got the exact thing about 1 minute ago and instantly searched it up, it was an automated response telling me that my family and i are being investigated and to call back on their number. It was an American voice.

I had the same call, I wasn't near my phone at the time and got left a similar message as the earlier posting regarding this number. I never call back any of these numbers.

Same message as above. seems to be a computer simulated voice

It’s a scam - you call then they ask for your personal details which ATO would have. My accountant handles my tax so ATO don’t have my personal info.

Same number called me with the exact same voicemail... So 100% scam

Scammer asking people to pay money that is owed to the ATO needs to be paid into a nominated bank account. Always ring ATO or your tax professional to check your ATO records.

I got same voice msg on 6 nov 2018.
Didn’t answer and Ignored it.

Got the same call today at 12:56 pm and believe its a scam
