Got a call from this number (02) 8006 8675. claiming ATO fraud

Received an automated call today from this number advising that I am being investigated for tax fraud. Same as everyone else. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. CALL THE ATO IMMEDIATELY

got the call and it was something about lawsuit... spam 100%

when i called them back they said its Australia tax office and then they just hang up.
Voicemail sai i am under arrest.

I received a call this morning but I didn't call back. I feel that it's just a scam.
When I check this number to Reverse Australia (This page) there are a lot of complaints.

they will get personal information from you

I returned this this call from another phone on private and a woman in an Indian accent answered and said it was ATO, but then left me on hold and I could hear some idiot in the background in a so called American Accent speaking to someone as tho they were going to get him for fraud.

I waited to see if the woman was going to get back on the phone to me, but after a about 30 seconds of waiting, I hung up.

Im sure with the number of complaints on here, somebody from the some sort of review board would actually do something and investigate and put these wankers away for frauding people.

I have received a call today 14/11/18 saying it is from the ATO dep't. and they said that lawsuit against me has been filed. It was a automatic audio message ,no body was there to talk .And they asked to call us back on 80068675.

Seems like a scam for sure ,I will call ATO and sort this out.

I rang back from a private number and told him to get a real job. He told me to "Go ,,,,,,, Myself" and hung up. LOL

I received the same call re law suit and they red out the affirmation.

Got a call from so-called ATO (American automated message) saying they have been trying to get hold of me for Tax Fraud Investigation, and I'm to call the number back. Bogus.

I received a missed call from a private number that left the same message as described above.

Caller: Fake ATO call

Got a call from (02) 8006 8675 claiming ATO has filed a law suit for falsifying something. I googled up and saw this thread. I decided to add to the thread. Hoping that ATO would do something about such scam callers.

I declined the call (it was from NSW and I live in Victoria) so it went straight to voicemail. They left an automated message in the same lines as above. Fraud. ATO has warned about this scam and that fraudsters are using ATO numbers or similar.

Just called. Told me their --- department (didn't say which one) hasn't heard from me so filling lawsuit against me & my family.
No - if it was lawsuit, it'd just be me. Family got nothing to do with it.
No - didn't identify the government department.
No department would just advise over the phone. Would always send a letter.
I call SCAM just like other posters.
