Received recorded voice message advising that ATO is investigating. i heard that scam so I don't bother to call back.

Same Scam on (02) 8006 8675. ignore it

got the same call today. Recorded message advising ATO is to investigate me. Threatened to provide lawsuit.

Caller: It came up Private

Someone called me on a private number and unanswered. An American accented robot voice told me I was being investigated for tax fraud and to call 8006 8675. Made no sense. I'm on a disability pension so I pay no tax. A scam for sure!!! Also, since when does the Australian ATO have an American robot voice?? Bastards.

Got a call as did others here. The American accent was a bit of a giveaway and got me off side before they even started. I did ring the number out of curiosity and when I had a go at the woman who answered about the American voice message she hung up!

Pre recorded computer simulated message claiming the family is under investigation for tax fraud on the 12 November 2018.

I got a call advising the ATO investigation.

Recorded message - couldn't work out which government department they said they were from - but definitely a SCAM

I just returned the call and told them my Full Name, what can I do? So scared...

SCAM!!! Asked for the company name and they hung up on me... same operators for numerous telemarketing companies...

Call came from private number but told me to call back on 02 8006 8675.
I didn't call. Same scam as OP mentioned. American computer voice. Claiming to have called me many times and having filed a law suit against me and my family.

I received the same call and returned the call but it just rung out.

I received a call on Saturday 10/11/2018 saying it is from ATO audit department, located at 1/32 Martin Place 2000.
When I asked are you working on Saturday, said Yes Madam, we are working all 7 days.
Then I understood it is a scam and hung up.

Call with no caller ID with automated message claiming to be ATO filing tax fraud case against me and my family. Obvious scam

I received the same recorded message with an American accent and when I phoned it back a man with an Indian accent answered and hung up when I asked him to explain himself.
