Same message here! I have just rang them back twice and accused them of fraud! They are now not answering the number!

Got a call on (02) 6064 2066 on Friday 10 June 2016. Female, fluent English, Indian accent. Missed the first part of the message because her auto phone caller tried to talk over my answering machine. I get the impression that she is pretending to represent the tax office and is planning on sueing me for something or other, and I must call her immediately or bad things would happen to me in a legal sense.

Obvious spam, given that it is a recording, and given that my answering message includes my mobile number, which she didn't call.

Same as everyone else- really sick of these calls

Message starting, "For further information about your bad taxes ......" Went on to threaten legal consequences etc. Obvious scam, lady with Indian accent. Sorry I missed the call as I would have enjoyed taking her on a bit of a journey.

I had call from (02) 6064 2066. On 10 th June, 2016. Woman with strong Indian accent, pretending to be from ATO. Left message on answering machine, saying legal action would be taken, because of tax fraud. Lol. Rang ATO myself and they said it was phone scam. Hope other people in this situation didn't out personal details. IT IS A SCAM.

Just received audible call from Indian lady but hard to understand, message stated BAS Fraud and Back Taxes due, left number (02) 6064 2066 so called back and no one answers.

Same as above- very threatening woman regarding tax office debt

Big time scam. Message left by a heavy Indian accent woman on message bank. Said I was going to have a warrant for my arrest for tax fraud. Didn't leave a name who the message was for or any reference number.
Called them back. Very aggressive and rude. Indian man that had said an audit was done and I owe money. When I asked how they came to that amount he said "not my problem that's yours to work out" .
When I asked how can I pay it (knowing it was a scam) he said there was nothing I could do as they would go now in the next hour to the commonwealth courts for the warrant and my house and wages would be garnished and bank accounts shut down. BUT if I admitted it was a mistake on my behalf and not intentional tax fraud it could be resolved in the next half hour but I had to stay on the phone and not to talk to anyone or leave etc etc.
Told him I was calling the ATO to verify first. Wasn't happy as said if I did then they would commence proceedings.
I hung up and reported to ATO.

Could be a scam saying I owe the ATO back taxs

This number called and said they were from the ATO and if I didn't call back they were going to put a warrant out for my arrest.

Indian woman left a message about criminal charges against me by the ATO. Haha!

Exactly the same thing happened to me but with number (02) 6064 2066 they asked me for my TFN first this time and hung up on me when I wouldn't give it to them. This is the second time they have called. The first was a different number.

I had a very strange message on my phone today. It sounded like ATO scam. Very aggressive.
