Ditto with the ATO scam
Just replied with a "bugger" and hung up

We have now had the same recorded message by the Indian lady for 3 mornings in a row, I call my accountant and he confirmed that it was a scam. What concerns me more than the scam it self is that we have registered our number several times on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER and its seems that we receive me calls now than when we first registered. GGUUURRRRR

Received two messages on the answering machine 12th April 2016 from a female with a strong accent and no ID. Message was about a lawsuit in my name (what name???) from the ATO and to contact them immediately as it is a very serious matter. Obviously a scam!

They just called my 79 year old mother to tell her she was being done for tax fraud! Definitely scam.

Just had a phone call - strong accent - did not mention her name - said she was phoning regarding tax fraud and the ATO is taking action against me. She phoned me on my private land line number which no-one has been given....

Had a call from this number. Extremely aggressive rude woman with accent threatening me-warrant for arrest etc. Complete scam but convincing using legal terms.

strong asian accent and couldn't understand the first part - identification? said they had a lawsuit against my name and a warrant from the ato in regard to tax fraud. said not to ignore this message. tried calling but it didn't connect.

Had same call re tax fraud. Actually left a message on my phone.

Very forceful Asian male voice, Claimed to have a lawsuit agaisdt me from ATO... A lot os BS, would not listen to me, so, I in turn began to get a little abusive..

same just happened to us Michelle...definitely a scam I'd say

I received the same message on the answering machine from the same person quoting the same number on the 7th April, 2016. She sounds foreign, African?

The ending is a classic give-a-way, "Thank you and have a nice day." .

Obviously scam-artists looking to glean banking details.

Received a phone call from a client of ours stating the same as Michelle, that she was guilty of tax fraud and that she was going to be sued by the ATO.

Happened to us too today. Definitely sounds like a scam. Ignoring based on other websites and their reviews of this number.

07/04/2016. voicemail. Female called (Indian strong accent). Stated "from tax office, serious fraud, imminent warrant for arrest by police. Do not ignore. My name is Jennifer Smith call back immediately on (02) 6064 2058. Have a good day."
number does not connect.
will contact ATO and report during business hours.

I just got the same message about tax fraud against me from a guy with a really strong accent

Have had several calls from this number, it is an automated message, when I answer no one is there, just keep repeating same thing over and over, Stating that they are from ATO and there is a warrant for my arrest due to tax fraud. Have contacted ATO and was advised they will only send letters if there is anything up and will not call. They also said NOT TO CALL NUMBER IT IS A SCAM. ATO have details of call and have reported to be investigated for a fraud scam.
