'Lima Johnson' called and claimed she was from Telstra and that I have malicious content on my computer. I must follow her instructions or I will lose internet access. I asked for proof she was from Telstra. Lima said she would give me my customer licence number which I needed to enter into my computer as directed by her to confirm she was legit. I asked for her contact number but she refused to give it to me. I kept asking why and she hung up.

Received another three calls yesterday, just happened to be Public Holiday, the last one was at 10.29pm.

It never stops. Early mornings and late at night. It's so bloody annoying.

These calls are getting more frequent. I never answer the calls but recently they are now calling after 10pm. Don't know how to stop them

Calls from early morning through to late at night, seven days a week (including Public Holidays). All that I ever hear is people speaking in foreign language to each other and laughing (I am glad that they seem to find something amusing)! These 'people' are being paid by someone to do a job, which they are obviously not doing. When I call the number back, there is a recording to say the line is disconnected...........................There must be something that can be done about these types of calls!

Constantly calls anytime from 8am through to 10pm weekends. Never anyone on the other end. We are on Do Not Call Register but this does not stop them............................really annoying!

A man with an Indian or Pakistani accent called me frequently claiming that he is from Telstra and that my computer has been corrupted by hackers and that he wants to fix it by accessing my computer through team viewer. I hung up several times, but he kept on calling late in the evening. Can Telstra block this number for good? Thank you.

Numerous calls from this number over the last week all times of the day (& as late as 10:30 which instantly made me panick that something was wrong as woukd never normally get calls at this hour). Tried to call number back today & says number is not connected. Answered a call also today & only heard background noise before they hung up. Getting very annoyed with this :(

They have called twice today and hung up when my son answers. Clearly a scam.

It's always the computer internet error or the government rebate from the ATO regarding solar panels. The solar panel call comes every couple of months. We just say we already have panels. Morons.

Said they were from Telstra, When asked for Full Name and Reference number for call, the response was Beep, Beep (Hung up straight away) Scam Alert

They don't bother just using listed numbers. They will ring a block of numbers eg 111111 to 199999 so having an unlisted number doesn't stop them

We have been receiving calls from this and other numbers for quite some time, We are on the so called 'Do not call register' but complaints to them are a waste of time, they do nothing. There is another website where complaints can be logged but they do not follow up. Some time ago I tried the Communications Ombudsman which was also a virtual run around the block and no help at all. This call was in relation to 'Telstra' and my computer downloading viruses while I am using it. The problem for the female caller was that I have not been with telstra for about fifteen years,. These calls are continuing and I have twice emailed the Federal Communications Minister about these calls and other than an acknowledgement of receipt of the email there has obviously been no follow up by anyone.Where a person is defrauded by these creatures a criminal offence is committed. Likewise harassing calls as these calls are is also a criminal act under Federal Legislation. Telco's have the ability to trace any call anywhere in the world yet for some reason they are either not asked or refuse to do so. It is said that these calls are from overseas and it may be an overseas telco that is refusing to cooperate. If so there is no reason why their Company shouldn't be blocked from services to Australia. Many Telcos here are subsidiaries of overseas Telcos. My advice is to do what I intend to do is to email the Communications minister at Minister @ communications.gov.au and complain to him/her. If enough people complain they might get off their backsides and do something useful for a change.

10.30pm they are calling now. Thankfully I googled the number before answering.

Someone on here mentioned that it is probably a ploy by Telstra for customers to pay for an unlisted number due to these harassing phone calls. Well, I do have an unlisted number and for the past three years I have been bombarded with scam callers day and night. This current caller has only just started calling me during the past few days. This morning they woke me up. I never answer numbers that I don't recognise but it is still annoying and my nerves are getting bad from the phone constantly ringing. I've had enough and am seriously considering getting rid of my landline altogether. Telstra who I expect is at the root of this problem needs to fix it. My number is silent and not listed in any phone book or online. So how the hell did these scammers get my details....... Telstra.

This idiot is ringing me hourly and hanging up. Get a real job.

We are getting calls to our home number and as well our holiday house number - from both 4965 9573 and 6172 8611. Started from before Christmas. They hang up on the answering machine and me never a word said. Same experience as others all times of day and night.

I have been on holiday, and while home, I have been receiving calls from numbers similar to this three to four times a day! I answered once to tell them to stop calling, and just heard a lot of background chatter. No one bothered to pick up.
Tonight I answered, and found the same thing happening. I could hear numerous voices and picked up the word "Telstra". I took the phone to my partner and said "Listen to this. I'm getting these calls all day". With that, someone answered. The person on the end of the line said he was ringing from Pakistan and that we should adopt his religion, and that they were going to set off a bomb in North Sydney???!!!

Same thing here.Told me they were fromTelstra, and, they were ringing about a problem with my internet connectio. Told them I didn't have internet....they hung up.
