DO NOT provide this company with any Netflix details - it is a scam and your credit card will be used for fraudulent transactions. This has just happened to my mother while she was on the phone to a Sam at 1 800 431 401. They claim to be Australia Help Centre - it is a scam!

1800 431 401 : Re-routed numbers to a nasty and sophisticated call centre based in India that pretends to be working as or for Microsoft support team.( Apple computers are an easy target). They are FAKE, FAKE, FAKE. Those scums are installing malwares and viruses from popups or with bundles software as Adobe Flash. More importantly, Adult sites are 98% to be found as their favourite way of passing their viruses. Your internet browser suddenly freeze and your computer is being frozen. Best way is to shut your computer down ( by pressing power button for 20-30 to seconds ...or, Press ESC continuously for 10-15 seconds ...or to make sure, unplug Your computer). Fear and stress will take over with messages saying that your computer has had a virus attack. Restart with a clean browser cache and a run of a antivirus if you have one. Talk to someone (to your local computer guy) if you are not reassured or still in distress. This is a free phone call number, that’s targeting Australian audience. Note that nothing has changed in your computer system but check if some extensions had been added to your browser. If you do a lot of surfing the net, always run Task Manager that can stop any further damage. Do not let those curry scumbags win.
CALL YOUR BANK, CANCEL YOUR TRANSACTION.

Caller: I actually called the number, thinking it was for Netflix support.

Unfortunately I called them, the number having been passed on to me (as a number for Netflix) by a leading international credit card company whom I had called because my Netflix account would not work with their card. Shortly after making contact I was told to hang up because the phone line was bad, and they would call me back. This happened immediately and (as I only discovered afterwards on checking my call log) I was actually called back from international numbers starting with +1 (the international code for USA, though judging by the accents I doubt if the calls actually emanated from there). Accordingly and foolishly I fully trusted and co-operated with them at every stage, and passed on a mass of personal details and of course my **** Card account number. I was on the phone with them for around 45 minutes, by which time I had become very suspicious. When I questioned what was happening, I was very cordially told that everything would be back to normal after 6 hours, and he finished the call. I subsequently discovered that purchases of $900 had been made with my credit card. I then spent ages changing all significant passwords on my computer, and obtained new numbers for my credit cards from the various financial institutions. I have uninstalled the apps that they added to my computer (at least the ones I know of), as well as running Norton Power Eraser. So far I have had no further problems. Here's hoping, but who knows what information they may have extracted in 45 minutes

They said that the app needs update. DO NOT give them the code that they text you. This is being used to access your private information as a 2FA or security code for Credit Cards.

I called Telstra because I had error code on my Netflix. I followed Netflix troubleshooting didn’t work. Last suggestion was to ring internet provider. So I rang Telstra who said my internet was fine and to ring Netflix, she gave me the 1800 431 401 number. I was also stupid and followed there instructions to reset Netflix account and gave them too much information and was scammed
