this number is calling me saying I owe money stating my old address which I moved from 4 months ago. pretty sure if I really owed this for so long they would do more than text/call with a recording, and the account isn't even in my name any more AND we are still with tru energy so they would have my new address. seems very suspect especially when they call outside of business hours asking for direct credit card payment.

Further to my previous message, I got hold of TruEnergy and they said that nobody had tried to contact me so this seems to be a scam. They said that th is the first they've heard of any call like this with regard to their company so they're going to follow it up.

I have received two voicemail messages in the last 24hrs on my mobile phone. The recorded voice message says that TruEnergy needs to urgently speak to the account holder of the account for <my address read out by a computer voice> between the hours of 8am and 9pm.

Looking at the TruEnergy website, their toll free number is 1800 171 209 and when I called at 8pm their recorded message said I had called out of business hours. Their actual hours are between 8am and 6:30pm Mon-Fri.

This number does not seem legitimate.

TruEnergy Account department. Recieved a phone call from TruEnergy, called them back from their publicly listed number. TruEnergy representative confirmed that this is their number and it diverts through to their call centre in Bangalore. My account was paid, just the credit department getting overzealous.

SMS message claimed to be from TruEnergy.
Wanting urgent response concerning unpaid bill.
Not a TruEnergy number.

TruEnergy credit department. Leaves automatic computer generated calls on voice mail and send SMS, requesting an "Urgent call from the account holder. I believe this is SCAM. I wan to get rid off this call.
