Its Fedex customs clearance, I was very suspicious at first as this number is not officially listed on their website and the link was to pay the customs clearance fee via paydollar.com.
I called the number and got them to confirm a some of details that only Fedex would know, turns out its legit. The tracking details changed from 'On hold awaiting clearance' to 'Released for delivery' not long after I paid the clearance fee.
The item was delivered the next day.

TLDR - its a bit odd but its legit Fedex.

I have the same text msg which directs me to pay at this weird website to enter cc details. But it doesn’t even say the total...
Seems super suss. I am expecting a parcel from fedex but this just doesn’t sound right...

Has anyone worked out if it’s legit?

They email you or SMS you and give you the link for making the payment for the GST.
It is a genuine payment request from Fedex.

It's a scam. We don't even use Fedex at work. The tracking number they emailed me does not exist.
