They said my ebay account had been used to make a purchase for $249, i dont have an ebay account. They wanted my bank details, i abused the hell hell out of them and told them they are scammers. No debits from my bank account for the amount they quoted.

Same as above commenters. Start of recorded message is cut-off, then ...you will be charged $249.99. Blocked.

Same as the others, will debit $249.99, I didn't answer because of the number so they left that message. Knew it was a scam straight away,the voice sounded slightly electronic.

Just had a call from this number. Calling saying $248.66 will be debited.
Called them back, same response as many of you.
I asked questions and they hung up. Scamming fricks.

I had the same message about EBay support and $249.99 mentioned which I found a bit creepy as we had just purchased an item on EBay this morning, not for this amount though.

Scam from eBay asking for money

Caller: Indian call centre claiming it was from eBay.

Received a call first claiming it was from eBay. Then got a robo call about the $249.98 to be debited from your account unless you call to cancel-press 1. Same as others here. Definitely a scam. Hung up on them!

This is a wrong call please disconnect it as son as possible.

I rang them back yep saying eBay support someone from China has bought something using my acc and they want to know if to go ahead with it.... couldn’t send me info via email to cancel the transaction had to know if I was android or Apple

Received call from this Adelaide number twice. Definitely scam. Hung up. Message was I would be charged $249.99. Received two calls several hours apart. Checked my accounts all good.

same thing - dodgy recorded message saying I had purchased something - hung up straight away.

Rang the number back - someone with an accent and looking at last message here..probably he said he from EBAY.

Supposedly eBay, though I have no account issues or reason to be contacted. When I questioned, he hung up.
