Voice recording saying they were going to debit $299.99 from my account. Did not give a company name. Assuming this is a scam.

voice recording saying they were going to debit $299.99 from my Ebay account. Stating a number to call back and options to select. Assume a scam as haven't purchased from ebay.

Caller: Scam A man claiming he was from eBay said someone had purchased a gift card on my account. I gave him my first name [only] and then when he wanted to "connect me to the eBay server" he asked if I had Android or iPhone. I asked why he needed that. Repeated that it was to connect to the server. Reminded him that he should not have to do that to process a refund, and he got all quiet and didn't say much to me after that.
I hung up.
