Scam - called them back, asked what address they were from, they told me Melbourne, I said you're from Brisbane as a Brisbane number and they promptly hung up. SCAM

voice message saying they were ebay customer care and that my a/c had been debited $299.99 and to follow prompts which I did not. However I redialled the number given but rings out. BEWARE

Voice msg saying to call immediately if I hadn't authorised $299.99 from my account. caller did not identify self. Must be a scam. I didnt call back!

Voice recording about a debit of $299.99 and a phone number I missed. Tried to call back - no pick up

Had similar call- left a voice recording say they were going to debit $299.99 from my account- didn't include business name or mention eBay. It was from number 61 7 3040 9956 - assumed as scam and deleted message

They were going to debit my account for a purchase I supposedly made of $299.99

How come these people don't get caught, surely the police can do something, glad I have a new Samsung A31 phone it warned me before I answered. Thanks Samsung.

this is a scam they wanted me to give them my mobile and details

left voicemail saying we were being debited 299.99 or to call back to cancel for refund

The recorded message asked me to call back immediately saying that $299.99 was debited from my account

Yup - left message - 299.99 as per others - obvious SCAM

Also received exactly the same automated voice message as above. Thank goodness this page!!! Thanks everyone.

I just received the same message DO NOT answer or call them back. FRAUD

When I called the number back they claimed to be ebay.

Caller: claimed tpo be from Ebay

Automated message claiming to be from ebay about a purchase of $400 and to follow the prompts to pay it and call back to get a refund.

Voice recording saying $400 has been deducted from my eBay account (don't have one) and invited to call the number if I had any query. THIS IS A SCAM -- DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER.

Same message re deducting from my account $299,99 for Ebay. It looked like a local number otherwise I'd never have answered it and I've had no dealings with Ebay
