THIS IS A SCAM TEXTER.
“Mum, I smashed my phone please contact my friends number on whatsapp 0485 870 584 its urgent.”

They pretend to be your child in need of urgent financial assistance and it is VERY hard to get your money back when you report them to police. ALWAYS CALL YOUR CHILD TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT BEING SCAMMED.

Caller: “Pennywise”

Some guy on discord (could be him) had told me to call him for financial advice. He didn’t pick up but when I called him first, but he called back saying he was “Pennywise” (This didn’t freak me out) and saying how he could help me with my money. I didn’t trust him as he had just told me he was Pennywise and I hanged up, don’t call this person I think he’s just pranking people who want financial advice. I also just want to say that multiple scammers have called me since, he might’ve reported my phone number to their database or something.

Messaged me and everyone in my family to join a discord link, my husband even got called slurs after a while of not joining the discord server. I would probably pay these guys to do my marketing due to their very annoying marketing tactic but being on the consumer side isn't very fun. Caller: OT Marketing

Ringed my telephone constantly, when I picked up the telephone he was begging that I joined his discord server. I very kindly told him no, but he kept begging and begging. I kept rejecting him and he kept requesting. After this he started yelling at me in german and russian slurs and complaining about how his family would starve to death. Called me and messaged me multiple time insisting I joined their Discord server (https://discord.gg/kg6jPJnAr6). When I asked why they were doing this, they stated that they "worked for OT Marketing" and wouldn't eat tonight unless I joined their discord server. After not joining their discord server and ignoring their spam for a couple days, a letter arrived to my door asking me to join! I was very terrified by this and decided to join their discord server. The discord server looked like a huge pyramid scheme of selling money-making courses for really cheap. Just out of curiosity, I bought 3 courses and I received them all. I actually don't think they're scammers but their marketing tactic is quite unusual.

Similar number has called before with one digit difference. Was a scam call and inititial number was blocked so, any similar number with one digit difference will aso be blocked.

Caller: Scammers pretending to be the NBA

Was talking about NBN and how I have a hack and they are downloading my files. She couldn’t answer a single question about my household other than my name and number. She tried to give me her employee number which doesn’t mean anything. Very convincing until you start asking questions back! Beware!

I answered because I am expecting a delivery. It was a recorded message *from ebay* saying they had a purchase order for 299.00. I hung up thr phone. I know what I have ordered, nothing from that amount, and ebay does not call you from a recording anyway. So yeah, another scam.

Caller: Australian Super Centre

Unsolicited call. Don’t leave messages. When I called back to check the number recorded message says call is from Australian Super Centre “following up on your enquiry” However no enquiry was ever made by me.

It never stops. There's a scammer calling from a new number every day. (This was another call with no one bothering to speak.)
Targets repeatedly refer to answering the calls, or even calling back. If no one ever answered calls from unknown numbers, which is what we've so often been advised to do, there would be some hope of this plague of scamming and harassment coming to an end. I don't...

Caller: Indain Scammer

This number is used by an Indian scam call centre. Saying that they want to give a heat pump hot water service from my state government. They got angry and hung up when questioned about a scam. Hahaha

Caller: Wine Company

I'm being pestered by a wine company (have been for months using different numbers never leaving messages) now 0431 843 490 has started with no messages. I reckon it's the same mob but I've reached the limit of my phone's blocking ability so I've simply stored this number as PEST so I'll never be suckered into answering it.

Very annoying has rang at least 6 times today, I screen calls and as unknown don't answer. 2 mins after last call received call from similar no about shower heads.
