Not many people know this but thanks to our Constitution, there is a statute of limitations on debts (7 years). Now this is what most people do not know - after 7 years, the debt is cancelled with NO RECORDS. BUT!!! it is imperative that NO correspondence be entered into with said debt collectors ie phone calls, letters, email or by any other means, over this period of time, otherwise the contact (at any time during the initial 7 years) will reset the debt for another 7 years. I have done this - yes, it is all true & works. Ignore all attempts at contact, this is also why they call all hours/days to get a contact, even if you do not talk to them. They are cunning. Block all phone numbers they use. Yes, someone said they try to claim debts you do not owe - this, unfortunately is also true so just ignore & block!! (For 7 years).

Debt collectors buy your debt, from what ever creditor you have failed to make payments to. They will try to tell you that the debt was passed on to them, but that is a lie. So when a debt collection agency buys your debt, they have paid your debt off in full for you. You have no obligation to pay them anything. By them buy your debt they have committed fraud, because your credit contract is between you and the creditor. They have nothing to do with the contract therefore, they have no legitimate legal leg to stand on:

Credit Corp continually chase you for supposedly unpaid debts that they have purchased from a finance company for as little as 4c in every debt dollar you supposedly owe. So for a $1000 debt they have purchased for as little as $40.
Never ever ring them back as your credit year blacklist will start again.
Your debt gets wiped after 7 years if you don't make any contact with them.
Block their number but they will continually ring you on other phone numbers that they have a rotation of hundreds of landlines & mobile phone numbers they use.
Rule of thumb is never answer any phone calls from people you don't know if they aren't in your address book.

CREDIT Corp is the company took me 6 attempts to 2 other people to find out why they called.

Apparently they don't even know what the no call list is.

They want all my personal details to confirm they can talk to me or tell me why they're even calling.

being the above number "MOBILE" > 042 475 636 ? Australian male accent ( Seemingly Youngish voice ? ) left a message only saying , > "HELLO" ? They ended the call and hung up . However, it,s with sincere gratitude to another apparent victim of this negative rated caller that they detailed the bogus entity that is ringing people up with their agenda . Many Australian,s that are of good stock are increasingly receiving calls from "DEBT COLLECTORS " ? Many suspect these calls are a criminal motivated group backed possibly by Deceptive peoples .
