To Wallis Market Research: What part of DO NOT CALL do you arseholes not understand? We shouldn't have to come cap-in-hand and personally ask you not to keep calling us. Putting my name on the Do Not Call register says very clearly that I DO NOT WANT ANYONE cold-calling me, barging into and intruding into my home and interrupting whatever I am doing for the purposes of trying to sell me sh*t that I don't want or in some other way profiting by exploiting my time and personal information. If you want to talk to people who want to participate in your surveys, call-up and talk to people who are not on the Do Not Call register. Your comments in reply to complaints on this site are a clear two-fingered salute and a declaration that you intend to just ignore those complaints and continue right on with your annoying behaviour. Two fingers right back at you.

I have contacted Wallis several times now to stop ringing me. Also had my number recorded with with https://adstandards.com.au. and a few other bodies. Obviously Wallis do not follow Advertising Standards.

Its only market research. Give them a break. They're not selling anything or trying to scam you or get money out of you.

So you say you have the right from Govt to call us "until 8.30pm each weeknight and between 9-5pm at weekends" ?
    Very interesting

Is there any way to block these irritating fools with an old phone? I've no interest in humoring people who somehow have obtained my mobile number, despite the fact it's used only in emergencies and no other occasion. I don't answer unknown numbers, and they've messaged/called so many times in the last two days that it's beyond a joke.

How are people aloud to get your number anyway!

Don't these scumbags know they can't phone on a Sunday morning? It's in the rules. You people don't do real research, just populist rubbish for opinion polling not on behalf of the government; but on behalf of a political party. I am reporting them to the government watchdog.

I have barred these calls along with many others. My barred called list is becoming longer than my phone book list. I no longer answer calls from Private numbers, interstate calls or re-curring numbers. Isn't it a shame that they can invade our homes in such a manner. Another annoying new one is the government recorded messages. I don't remember inviting them into my home! If it is a genuine call they will politely leave a message and await my return call.

You don't need a Telstra phone, any handset with a built in phone book eg Panasonic will enable you to block numbers. Or save them as Do Not Answer. Works great for fundraisers and anything.

You can have your number removed from the Wallis Survey Call List by going to their web site at ( www.wallisgroup.com.au ) or ringing their number back and leaving a message asking for your number to be taken off their call list.
This has worked for me and I don't receive any more calls.

Gee, these people are persistent! Wallis Consulting Group that is! I suggest that their number is added to your 'reject calls' list. Then they can try all they want without annoying you. It's their time and money; but I guess the Government pays them anyway so the more they try the more money they may generate as an income. Good for them, bad for the tax payer! They could at least ask whether you're interested in participating! One simple text message/letter asking same and if they don't hear back then stop trying. I've received hard copy correspondence (what a waste of paper too!) and 9 attempts so far. You'd think they would get it by now. They must be paid on a per attempt basis.

It's just easier to add your number to my 'reject calls list' or you could ask for permission rather than just persistently calling. I've added your number to my reject calls list so you are wasting your time and money anyway.

If the phone companies in Australia dont monitor the call centres overseas,to see what they get up to,shame on the phone companies.

I am on the Do Not Call Register, but this one seems to be getting through on my landline. Last two nights, call around 7pm when I answer - nothing then they hang up. Tonight, ringing stopped after a couple of seconds and I didn't answer, hence I was able to get number via *10#. Why do they bother???
