People you place in your contacts list will get through as usual but anyone with a private / withheld number or a number that is not in your contacts list will hear this message; CALLS TO THIS NUMBER ARE BEING MONITORED BY TELSTRA GUARDIAN; PLEASE STATE YOUR NAME AND THEN PRESS # AND WE WILL CONNECT YOUR CALL. You will then have the option of either accepting or rejecting the call.
If you ring me again for your pointless surveys you'll be getting a whistle blown in your ear. Piss off and leave me alone. My MP will be being contacted regards having the do Not Call Register strengthened to include survey parasites like Wallis Consulting. Confirmed as above, this vermin are driving me insane! We are legitimate market and social researchers which means we aren't covered by the Do Not Call Register. We can call you until 8.30pm each week night and between 9-5pm at weekends. Most of our work is for government and the results of the anonymous surveys feed into government policy and communications.

He got a bit more than he wanted and ended up hanging up on me. He made the phone call and I abused him, where do they get the number from? Oh I did record it, automatic call recorder on my phone; everything incoming or outgoing gets recorded. This number belongs to Wallis market and social research based in Melbourne. The company, of which I am Principal, is Australian owned and run. It has been operating for over 20 years totally within the law. Market and social research companies are exempt under the Do Not Call Register Act and may call you between the hours posted on ACMA's website. The reason for this is that genuine market and social research is the only way that organisations can gain a fair and balanced understanding of the attitudes of the public and/or their customers. As you can see from this website, left to self select, feedback is rather one-sided. We would not be in business if people did not want to talk with us - the vast majority is happy to. Wallis interviews around 100,000 people every year. We have our own Do Not Call Register and we will put your number on it if you wish. Please contact us and tell us your number so that we can do this. This does not mean that other market research companies won't call you. It does mean that if we're doing research for an organisation you do business with, such as your bank, or a government department and they provide your telephone number so that we can ask your opinion of the services they give you, you will not be contacted either.

I just got a call from them that I missed and then I called them back, they weren't so bad, they asked me if I wanted to take part in a survey and and I said 'no thanks' and that was the end of it. It was no big deal really. What's the bloody point of a do not call register if companies like this are exempt ! These are the guys we don't want calls from ! Madness. It never ends this constant harassment is overwhelming They rang both my mobile and house phone. Not sure where they got my numbers from.
No message left but I never picked it up just in case. The phone providers should put something in place to stop these acts some how. I would like to know which Telstra phone blocks these people that was mentioned by another email-er on this site.
I keep getting these calls. I followed advice from others here and called on 8620 5688 and it is them. I spoke to "Simon" and he said he'd remove me. *shrug* we'll see when I finally stop getting these calls. I have a baby and a toddler both taking naps! Very Annoying when I am on the "don't call register".

Better still please post your home phone number on this site and let people ring you between 9am and 830pm during the week and up to 5pm on weekends and let them express their honest heartfelt opinion on your service.
