Caller: "HP Australia"

Had a call from someone posing as rep from HP Australia, tried to state that I had been infected with the a virus. Blatant scam, not to mention the caller was clearly not from Australia.

Hung up on me as soon as I answered. I have silent number and on DNC register, which apparently means nothing.

I have received a call from this number several times, each time it cuts out on answering the phone - I did return the call and received a message to call (03) 9935 5788. This number was answered by a very pleasant lady who confirmed the original call would have come from ORC International, a Social Market Research Company whose Australian office is based in Melbourne. As this has happened several times, I asked to be removed from their data base, which she did (hopefully).

Another scummy scam number, should be banned from calling those on the do not call register and unlisted numbers. Just scum trying to rip people off (03) 9038 3887

I have been getting calls twice a day, everyday for 2 weeks. How do these people not get the picture to f$%k off.

Says he is calling on behalf of the federal government ??
what on a mobile phone and on Sunday morning ??

I wrote on their website - feedback - asking them to stop calling me. Just wonder whether it will work.

called WHILST we were out. Wont leave a Message. Has called previously while we are home. It appears to be an automated number.

I guessed the number was a parasite and I was right by the looks of it.

Claimed to be from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade... a) they wouldn't ring after hours and b) they have no reason to call... hung up as soon as he said where he was "from."
Then tried to ring me from (03) 8256 1755, but hung up before I could answer and tell him where to shove off.

Pick up then hang up. They usually get bored and go somewhere else. Happy days.

Received a call from this number on my work phone. When i explained they wouldn't be calling my work he immediately stated he would remove the number and hung up. I have blocked the number. Thanks for the posts, everyone
