Legitimate call from Telstra about an issue I’d called about earlier in the day. I was suspicious because the call came through at a bit before 6pm. Didn’t answer the first time they called. But they called straight back and I answered that. NOT A SCAM

Legitimate, from Telstra complaints. This site is pointless as everyone thinks everything is a scam.

Guy named Nick with British accent claiming to be from Telstra but it’s a scam. He sent me an email to confirm reference number but the email was fake and the email looked very fake too.

It's a scam number, they are just a bit more organized than most. The positive comments here are from the scammers trying to legitimize it. They may know certain things about your setup or the phone you're using, but this is easy information for them to collect, it's part of the scam. Don't waste your time.

This is NOT a scam number. I work for Telstra and this is an IP complaints number. Ask for the case number from the agent and call Telstra on 132200 if you are not certain. A lot of customers wasting complaints time filling out complaints and not realising this is Telstra.

This number called me (03) 8903 9325 left a message saying from Telstra and was calling about my new modem and to call the number back straight away! Funny thing is they called while I was on the phone talking to Telstra and it was about 15 min into the conversation, I had called Telstra and the call I was on was NOT about a new modem! Sorry I've blocked this number seems like a scam to me!

Was dealing with Telstra on 132200.
Had this call three times leaving a mumble message..
Suppose to be a follow up in reference to an issue I'm having with Telstra.
Now I'm really concerned, it's nearly midnight and I can't sleep..

Despite the lack of identity check via the My Telstra App HELP, this number is really from Telstra. I still did not give any details that wasn't said to me or not in my file.

This number is NOT TELSTRA

Telstra would send a SMS first prior to phoning.
In fact, you can manage your preferences on how Telstra will communicate with you via the App.

Many of the comments on this page are stating that it is legitimate.
If fact several of the comments are stating that they are from Telstra. Either as employee or otherwise.
However, if you note on the left hand side of these comments, some of these "employees" location are showing Netherlands and Turkey.
Telstra does not out source to these countries..

Many organised fraud companies are getting wiser in their methods to get your personal information.
They will deceive you anyway they can.

If in doubt, just hang up.

If concerned, contact the company directly yourself via telephone or their App "get help" section

Stay vigilant and safe.

Caller: Telstra ??

She rang me, I recognised her voice from a scam with the Electoral Office. Indian accent with child noises clearly in the background. I mentioned the child and asked if she was calling from her home ? then asked which call-centre she was from ? - "Melbourne". I hung up. She immediately rang back yet the location on the incoming call screen said - Sydney. I mentioned this to her and she was silent. I hung up. Scam !! Telstra number spoofed ?!

Started with a robotic voice claiming call may be monitored for QA. This is suspicious. Claimed to be Telstra calling about some 3G discontinuation in August or something. It appears to be true though that Telstra is shutting down its 3G network by end of August 2024. I don't use Telstra and have never used Telstra, so I ignored them; this seems to be a relatively more organised group of scammers. Lots of comments here do not match my experience. Like some other commenters here, I suspect the scammers have intentionally left comments here to make the phone number seem more legit. Telstra.
MOST LIKELY A RELATIVELY ORGANISED GROUP OF SCAMMERS.

Im not with telstra.... but they claim to be telstra? Not sure, could be ligament but with what sounded like an automated message about "message could be recorded" before any human interaction is much the same as the scammers, if it is telstra they should know better

Legitimate call from Telstra. I had contacted them last week with an issue. They rang to discuss the issue. Because they knew stuff (that no case number had been created, what the nature of my issue was etc) no one else could, and because they did not solicit ANY information or actions from me, I am certain this was not a scam.

Definite SCAM. We called Telstra and they called back, wanting access to our computer desktop bank details and wanted $700. We hung up and they tried to call multiple time. Don't give them any details The People saying it's legit on the forum are probably in on the scam. Shame on you. The they used email was a Gmail address.

I was on the phone to Telstra, which I called through the standard helpline number, on hold for over an hour. The man I was speaking to stated he could not hear me about 30 seconds into the call and the line disconnected, I must say I was quite angry and frustrated. About one minute later the man calls me back, very suspicious. Couldn’t help me with the issue I was having however offered to take payment for bill. Again suspicious
