Two calls on my mobile today. I answer, they hang up.
Now number added to phone as spam after reading comments here.

just had a missed call from this number and have been getting them all week.. this time they left a 1 minute voice message but didn't speak

I have just confirmed with ANZ that this is their outbound customer survey center which is based in the philipines.

They keep calling me and hanging up as soon as I answer. I've had 6 calls from them in the last week. Bizarre. Blocked the number after reading these posts!

I also keep getting calls and they don't leave a message. When I answer it they hang up... Called back and they said it was ANZ... If I need anything I will call you hey!!!

This is absolutely disgusting how many calls I get from these guys and disconnecting when answering. I am going to close my account sick of ANZ what an absolutely disgusting practise

I usually don't answer random calls and so I avoided this one. Googled the number and saw all this. Must be a scam as they accidentally left a voicemail which sounded like someone walking outside rather than an office space of a call centre...

Just started getting calls from this number yesterday. No messages left.
Have not answered them to date and after googling and seeing this site it looks like a Scam. Thanks

Just hangs up ANZ again

rung minimum once a day constantly. no voice on other end and now just blocked the number

I was also just rang saying that they are from the ANZ bank and wanted to speak to my husband in regards to a personal loan by a guy who sounds Indian. I said he wwasnt here and they would need to ring back another time. Felt that this was sus when I first answererd it.

Annoying. I am an ANZ customer, I have unlisted secure number and they keep calling even after I have contacted ANZ and asked to be removed from the data base.
No a good way to keep your customers happy ANZ.

Had a call from this number moments ago. I was holding the phone at the time, so I answered it immediately but before I could put the phone to my ear it hung up. Nothing more annoying! I called it back but when you call it back you get a pre-recorded message stating you missed a call from an ANZ outbound customer service centre. Seems legit. Sounds like the ANZ woman (I bank with them).

Have done some research to find they are deliberately setting up cold calls that disconnect when you answer - when you call back it sets up your number for a whole heap more crap...unwanted calls re finance, insurance etc. Best bet is to contact ANZ and threaten to move your accounts with them and they will remove you from their call lists.

Here's the catch...wether you answer or not they are going to schedule a call back...so you're going to have to deal with this wether you like it or not. If it rings out and goes to a voicemail/answering machine they won't leave a message. You can try blocking the number but they will possibly call from multiple numbers.
