I received a text saying I was going to be called for a survey from Big Village - I thought it was odd they included an ABN number in their message - I came here - suspicions confirmed, number was blocked.

The new Company name is : Big Village

Blocked this number over a year ago. This past week they have been calling again, daily. My phone highlights as Spam.

Got 2 calls first one was at 4:35pm yesterday and I just got another call from the same number at 6:25pm today outside working hours they call themselves the Big Village Australia property limited according to there ABN they are in Victoria they are now blocked

Actually they do. Look up tra.gov.au/survey and you will see.

Did not answer; 2 calls within a few days from Melb. Obviously some scam or fraud.

Yep, got the exact same text. Then this week I’ve received a call from these guys every day.

Multiple missed calls from this number. I ignore the number and they haven't left a message so far. Not sure what they want.

This is one of a series of numbers used by Big Village, a genuine advertising, technology and data company with its HQ in Little Collins Street, Melbourne. It carries out surveys for whoever likes to contract it to do so. What annoys me is, in addition to the general annoyance caused by calls of this type, government sponsored agencies are heavily financed by taxpayer dollars, and the sort of data collected (in this case about travel) could readily be obtained from existing sources (in this case such as travel companies and travel agencies). It's hypocritical for governments to say they are concerned about cutting out waste, privacy and data security, and then go out and contract this sort of service, and in my opinion it's a gross waste of taxpayers money to do so.
The fault here lies with government, not with the survey company.

They keep ringing my number every day, a nuisance

Allegedly representatives completing survey for Australian Government. They have an automated message when you return their call - and state if you leave your number they will remove it from their callers list - just block the number and font heave any info for them.

Scam and a nuisance, don’t bother answering it. Called on a public Holiday; are the just stupid!

Received the call but didn't answer, and then checked the number online and found lots of complaint about this number

“This is Big Village (ABN 39 126 100 276). In the coming days we will call to see if you can take part in an important survey on behalf of a government agency.”

I never answered the call & just blocked their number

Went along with their questions until they asked me my network provider and how much I earn plus which Suburb I live in😁 My question was, what kind of Government agency asks such questions? Then hang up..Scammers

Got a text message from this number claiming to be from a company called Big Village with an ABN included. It said they will call me in the next few days to ask if I am interested in taking part in a survey on behalf of the government. A quick google search showed that this is a legit company, However with so many scammers pretending to be from legit companies these days I’m not interested in answering any questions so I’m blocking the number. I don’t know where they got my number from. Could be because I attended the theatre during the weekend so could be through that, which I’m not happy about as I don’t remember consenting to my number being handed out.

Just entered it into my contacts as 'Bandits' and blocked it. Just don't have time for these horrible people. Go away and leave us all alone.
