Dear Research.,
What absolute arrogance! If people are on the DNCR, it means they do NOT wish to be called by YOU, as well as any other research, marketing, scammer, spammer organisations.
You comments are, at best tenuous.
As far as we are concerned, you have NO right to call. You've been calling a number belonging to a lady, for whom I provide care, for weeks. She refuses to answer and complains that your constant attempts to "get through" make her uneasy - and as such I have suggested she not answer your calls - ever.
Don't be going around bullying us, Research., your calls are not welcome. Cease and desist, else keep it up and I'll suggest to her that she litigate.
"Government sponsored" or not, it's time YOU realised that there is a reasonable limit for attempts to contact. Fifteen-plus calls IS over the top. Multiple sessions of calming her down because of your calls is just too much. "Government sponsored" or not, you should follow the DNCR and respect our right to you non-intrusion.
Honestly, Research., it's clear you don't get it. It's clear she does not wish to speak to you, politely or otherwise. It's clear you neither care about, nor understand the stress you place on people. CEASE and DESIST.

My Samsung s7 flashes on the screen "suspected spam" while it's ringing. Very convenient. I guess it runs the number through google.

Thank you for your lengthy explanation. I will now answer this call. Your very last ending comment did surprise me. Why answer any unknown call at home when you get plagued by advertising scams from every direction and get sick of private time interruptions?

They're legit. I got a mobile message about this from their Canberra counterparts about their Life in Australian Survey. http://www.srcentre.com.au/

When I went to answer the phone the call got disconnected. Then when I tried to call back it went to voicemail. Then when they tried to call me again I didn't answer they kept ringing. They've called me before and anytime I go to answer the phone they hang up as soon as I pick up. So screw trying.

Why should you be embarrassed? And why should SRC or anyone else be exempt from the DNC Register anyway? Why should I have to go to the trouble of listening to their tiresome opening spiel (with the mandatory "How are you today?", I suppose) and then telling them I'm not interested in participating? If such organizations want to have a fertile set of phone victims there should be an opt-in sub-register of the DNC of people who are willing to make exemptions for such organizations. The rest of us should be left alone and unmolested by these dubious outfits.

So sick of unwanted calls - I don't care if it's a survey - give me your employees their home numbers so I can call them at night!
