Applied for a the free credit report yesterday. Received a phone call today, answered, no one was there & then they hung up.
I requested contact by email ONLY however the form would not complete without the mobile number filled. I also checked the box to NOT receive any marketing.... Most annoying.

Yes, I got the report. I have what I call my "junk" phone. A prepaid Telstra mobile I pay $20 every 4 months to keep active and give everyone that number, including my bank and insurance company as they are quite often the ones who give your number to all and sundry. Then I never answer it. Another trick I found on here is to find another annoying mobile number that is harassing people and use that in all your on-line forms. That way, the harrassers annoy the harrassers and not you.

Same as everyone here, I applied for a free credit report through Veda yesterday.
Received a call from this number today but Googled and found this thread instead of taking the call.
Considering that they have ALL of our personal information it is very concerning that they are now using it to telemarket us.

So glad I found this info... I too, like so many of you, requested my free report (and contact via email only) and every day I am getting a missed call from this number.... Um that's why I have voicemail!! You don't leave a message, I WON'T call back.

I just got a call from that number to and entered into Google search and yes, I applied for a VEDA free credit report a couple of days ago! They have all our info! This should be illegal what they are doing! I used to use Dun & Bradstreet and never got any harassment from marketing calls! >: (

Veda trying to sell credit ranking after appling for my credit file, I am writing to my local Federal member about these schmucks as well all all the Federal members of the Senate.

I got a missed call from this number, after my husband applied for HIS free report. Strange that they are calling me on my number. I applied for my free report a few months ago, and I got these strange calls. I ignored every single one, and still got my free report.

Applied for a free credit report on the Equifax website yesterday on Sunday 6 August 2017. Today I had a miss call from this number (03) 8256 6715). I didn't answer and will be blocking the number. I put down all my personal information down, its disgusting how they share it without your knowledge.

Veda trying to upsell credit report

Its been bought by Experian which is a global company. Veda was incompetent and made many mistakes. Most of my defaults are deleted and so are the inquiries. About time.

I was also being hassled by this mob. I rang them back - yes it was Veda - yes I had just ordered the credit file a few days ago, yes I was getting the creepy calls with no reply when u answer (I thought my sociopath ex was stalking me!). The guy I spoke to o feigned ignorance, denied Veda needed to speak with me, and tried to sell me my Credit Score on top. I had to refuse him three times in identical language to get off the phone.

It might be a simple additional identity check based on you having answered the phone number you submitted.

I asked for a credit report. They said it would take 10 days for email ed free credit report. I didnt tell them to phone me so f*ck off Veda@
