Similar experience to all below: Asked for a credit report following the Equifax hack in the USA, then got two upsell calls then blocked the number. Was just offered a discounted service if I bought now (03) 8256 6715), only if I purchased over the phone and not via their website. Sounds suss'; is it really VEDA/Equifax? Maybe not.

Well I didn't ask for a credit report & got called from this number asking me for my details ...name, address, DOB etc. I told them to get stuffed...... I think they might be using details in some way.

I applied for Equifax as well and the next day, they keep calling me and every second day. Very annoying.

Like foregoing comments, I requested a credit check thru "Get your credit score - Australia" yesterday & requested a hard copy & no other contact. Don't know if it is this Co. or VEDA (which is Equifax) that rang. The only reason they got my actual mobile No. was that I mistakenly thought it was actually required for the check, not telemarketing. Have now blocked it.

I liked the earlier comment & suggestion of keeping an unused prepaid mobile No. to provide in similar situations & providing some of these nuisance call No.s so they don't annoy me & just go on a sad merry-go-round.

Just had a missed call from this number and like so many others applied for my credit history yesterday with Veda/Equifax. I got their details from ASIC, so I'm hoping that they are a reputable company.

For years I believed VEDA to be a reputable company..
AD on TV re: FREE credit report..tried to complete the form but it wouldn't accept....received a call from a Customer service advisor ,on this number (03) 8256 6715..trying to sell the report to me..
Two days later received an email from a company in Sydney,in relation to requiring more personal details to complete the report...How can these people get away with this unconscionable and unethical behaviour and still be permitted to operate a business.?

I got a missed call from 8256 6715 following my request for a free credit report, so I rang Equifax/Veda back.
They were pushing me to get a comprehensive report (rather than the free basic report that I'd ordered), at a cost of $90. They then said they had a special offer of $74.95. I said no again. They gave up in the end and said they will email me my free copy in 10 days.

Have been getting called from this number only to be hung up on when I answer - also applied for the credit report. Very disappointing!!!

Yes the same as everyone else here about this number Veda trying to upsell me for something that should provide for free by government regulation....13 days past guess what no emailed credit report..When is the Government going to do something about these blood suckers..???

Same as many others, I ordered a free credit report from Equifax a few days ago, and now I receive calls from this number multiple times a day. It worries me how they use our personal information this way!!!

Just had a missed call from this number and like so many others applied for my credit history. Apparently Veda is now Experian according to their website. If I wanted to talk to someone I would have called, what's the point giving them your email if they're going to ignore this. BLOCKED....BYE BYE....

Same here. They called twice but hung up after I answered. I called back and it was some company regarding my request for a credit report which I applied for with Equifax which was supposed to be free, then they tried to scam me for some money.

Applied for my free credit report yesterday and received a call from this number today, no one there so I said shove it up your bum and hung up! I will be contacting the ombudsman if I receive another call as this is harrassment and a total abuse of our personal information! Not happy!!!

Just missed a call from this number, googled it and came up with these Veda/Credit file complaints. Great - I just gave all my info last night and was waiting for my free report. I thought they were legit after seeing it on some morning show a while ago. Not happy JAN!!!!
