well just got free credit check, and yea agter reading other comments it's veda trying to make you buy it

Same here, applied to Equifax 3 days ago, had a call every day since. 2 missed calls with no message left, one hung up when I answered. Not happy

Dont Bother trying to call back, i was on hold for 10 mins then someone answered " hello this is Tina how can i assist you" i said hi i had a missed call from this number " Hello is anyone there"? i repeated and they repeated the same again. Very Pissed off close to reporting this number for harassment as i am still yet to receive my report

Received a call from this number and went on line to see who it was. I was shocked to find it was the credit reporting company. I applied for free report yesterday.
Twice I said "Hello" and no one answered. Telecommunications ombudsman here I come.

Same as everyone - Registered for free credit report VEDA and have been getting calls from this number ever since

Applied for a the free credit report yesterday. Received a phone call today, answered, no one was there & then they hung up.
I requested contact by email ONLY however the form would not complete without the mobile number filled. I also checked the box to NOT receive any marketing.... Most annoying, they won't give up.
I'm glad I now know who made this call. and blocked the number - nothing is free anymore, they just call and harass you.

i applied for the free credit report from equfax and got a call, it went to my voicemail but nothing was said.

Sounds exactly what has happened to me, screw veda and equifax perhaps they are not straight up and all the reviews here and elsewhere are all negative. someone rang and no one answered what is the point if they are not going to answer

I apply for a free credit report but the sales is selling a credit check plan that last for 12 months .Me as well, considering they all our information, we are all at risk

Yes, another disgruntled "free" VEDA credit report applicant here. Very annoyed that this credit reporting agency (as with ALL credit reporting agencies) is legally required to provide you with a FREE copy of your credit report - see the website https://www.oaic.gov.au - Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, however they do not appear to provide an option to "Opt-Out" of any telemarketing. I feel this is an abuse of their market power and an abuse of their obligations under applicable law(s). On one hand, it is an outrageous abuse of their power, but on the other hand, it costs me nothing but a few choice words if they ever call back.

Same as everyone else, applied for a Veda free credit report on the weekend, come Monday I have a missed call from this number with no message left. I'll be ignoring this caller from now on!
