Applied for health insurance with a different provider and selected the option for them to manage the transfer for me.

Have never heard from Bupa aside from premium increases until now. Bye bye!

Changed my health insurance from Bupa and they started spamming me with phone calls. Have blocked them.

Changed from Bupa to another provider. I still have access to my online account, so I have removed my email address and mobile number. They can post correspondence to me if they want to :) more than one way to skin a cat.

Didn't answer. Googled and found it is Bupa. My case is similar to most others.

I changed over to them then realised that the amount they wanted me to pay fortnightly was close to what I am currently contributing monthly. I cancelled it straight away and spoke to my regular insurer who resumed my policy. Now its emails and calls from BUPA to discuss the cancellation despite the fact I have a copy of the termination notice.. Please just refund my money and source your market share elsewhere. No means no.-stop wasting everyones time and looking like annoying marketers who everyone will simply block Just my humble......

I got exactly the same thing!! I am in the process of changing over to Suncorp and now the calls are happening and then the emails with premiums due for the next quarter.... Never had so much attention from them - until you leave. :)

Same story as everyone else - transferred to a different health fund who handled the transfer for me. BUPA now calls me every single day (including Saturday and Sunday!!) I have blocked the number but I still get notifications that I have missed a call from them even if it doesn't ring.

I to have cancelled my health insurance with Bupa as I wanted to go to a members only policy where my money stays in Australia within the company and doesn,t pay for some executives next meal. The provider I have gone with did all the cancelling for me and told me I wound'nt have to do anything but that Bupa would probably try and call and text to get me back on the phone.
I am getting about two phone calls a day, they don't leave a message.
Blocking number now.

Cancelled the insurance and they sent me a new email with outstanding bill of quarterly payment due very soon. This isnt the way to run their business and I ignored them. Now they keep calling me at least once a day.

Like others, I also recently cancelled my health cover with them (after being a member for 15 years) due to ridiculous price hikes and reduced coverage. The final straw was when they quietly removed all coverage for cancer without notifying me - and then I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. They are the worst.

presumably Bupa,
I've been with them for over 50 years from when I first began working, a great health and medical benefits fund, (known as the mutual hospital association back in 1968 when I first started paying into the fund) yes, there have been name changes along the way, and on one occasion, they and one other fund were working together at that time now, like most, are moving to other funds for a better deal, like most of you, I, too, have had the same thing happen to me, one phone call after another, with no messages left on any of them, I received another one today at 10 58 a.m. South Australian time, and if anyone from Bupa which if we think it is, I will have the police here to meet them if their reps come to visit me, I live alone, and am too frightened to even have the phone put down as far as the receiver goes in case if it is a scam which I think it most certainly is but unsure, but I don't want to be given the run around on the merry go round with them,
with overseas entities taking over australia these days, australia, is still australia to me, black+white, is black+white
I was on the top table, and I had a mighty good package for which I heald for 14 years and now I'm expected to pay them quarterly for the shoddy service, paying for things which one will never use, (ie,obstetrics) and this is for a single person membership for a person (never married ever) so unless they change their ways, sorry guys! see you no more, and for a single pensioner over $800 per quarter, is just rediculous
Australian names like the mutual hospital association, n h s a, mutual community these are australian names which should be maintained, bupa is an overseas name
I'm with n i b now and getting to know them and dealt with some nice people there, bye bye guys!
