Switched Health funds to NIB now Bupa suddenly interested and constantly calling but never leaving a message and when you call back you have to sit on hold for awhile before anyone will speak to you, I hung up - number blocked.

Recently moved to NIB. Same thing others are saying, texts and calls and an email requesting payment or my cover will expire. Thanks Bupa for confirming auto pay is switched off :) I fixed it by logging into my old account and changed all my contact details to random stuff

after reading these posts I realise that this is why they are calling me, I too have just changed providers and the other company taking care of the transfer. I have received text messages and now the calls.

Yes BUPA Outbound Team. The dialler calls you from this Melbourne number and if the call gets picked up, it will drop the call to the Outbound Retention Team. Probably offer you one month free. You should take it and then after the free period expires transfer if you still want to.

I am switching my health insurance from bupa. Now they texted, called and asked for my personal information as part of the identification. I refused to provide the details then they gave me a number 1800 819 092 which I can't locate it on Bupa's website. I asked them what for, they just said its about finalising some paperwork but they can't discuss it further unless I provide my name, dob, address, etc. I will block this number.

Canceled bupa policy switched to other with better policy & cheaper premium. Now kept calling & not bother , interested to answer their call. Very persistent. Niw become nuisances

The caller claimed he was from Bupa and asked me to verify my account before he could continue the call!! But why? And how would I know he was genuinely calling from Bupa by giving out my personal details? I asked what it was about and he said it's to do with my account and I asked what about it?? Not a pleasant conversation!

Recently changed health funds and now these guys are ringing / smsing relentlessly to change my mind. Very different to when you try to contact them to make a claim / modification to your policy where you have to wait over an hour on hold only for them to STUFF IT UP. Hopeless, useless, avoid like the plague.

Keeps calling and texting - never leaves a message. If they can't leave a message, I can't ring them back!
I've cancelled my policy with them and it seems this is now reason to stalk me.
Sent me SMS saying the next payment is due on a Sunday. It has never been taken out on a Sunday.
I've not had as many emails, SMS and phone calls from them in the entire 20 years I've been with them.

thanks for sharing cause I have just cancelled my Bupa and they have done the same to me - sent quarterly bill n ringing n texting... pain in butt when you fill out the forms they tell you too and then want /need to talk to you … ridiculous

Similar to the above, I recently transferred to another health fund as BUPA could not offer me a better deal.
Too late now mate, they can go and get.....I have been ripped off by BUPA for too many years. BUPA came into the Aussie market taking over insurance and becoming quite large and running it like a business. They don't give a sh*t about your health!
Further more, you don't really benefit from being with them as the only way you get the benfit is to use their preferred provider. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of paying for private health insurance so you can pick what you want. Over them...off to greener pastures and cheaper premiums!

Like everyone else, this number keeps calling and don’t leave a message. I won’t call back, I have better things to do with my time than be harassed. In 20 years, I never had any interactions with Bupa. The service is crap, they have a poor reputation, hence why I upgraded to a better (more professional, secure, relevant to my life/family circumstances etc.) insurer. Why would I already have changed providers to all of sudden change my mind and go back to Bupa? Seriously? Wonder if they’ve ever been successful with this tactic *eye roll*

Don’t answer, if your payments are cancelled, why would you? Going to block this number thanks to the confidence I now have after reading everyone’s posts on here. Thanks!

I have had exactly the same tactics employed when I changed funds. From the constant calls to the new premium policy by both email and text. My new provider HCF, warned me they would do this and to ignore all emails and phone calls. I have saved the number in my phone as Bupa Do Not Answer so that I don't accidently answer the call.
