Same as above - I didn't take the call so just listened to the message saying that a purchase of 299.99 has just been made and if this is an error call (03) 5294 0137 to have the money returned. Have also reported to ACCC scamwatch.

Caller: SCAM re eBay

Received robo voice message from another Melbourne number to call this number re a Gift Card bought on eBay issue. Requested to download TeamViewer App and put in session code supplied by them. This would mean they can see everything I do on my iPhone during session. If I filled out the form they requested I fill out they would have a lot of my info. They would also have any log in and account info during the session. THIS IS A TOTAL AND MALICIOUS SCAM. HANG UP! BLOCK THE NUMBER/S! DELETE THE APP! REPORT IT TO EBAY! Don’t give them any opening to talk with you any further as they may become threatening or aggressive.

Same as everyone else - the auto message said they were from eBay and i'll have $299.99 debited from my account if I don't ring "this number" or press 1. I then realised it was a scam and hung up.

I just got the same message left on my phone (10/08/20; 5:19pm) from a female voice saying $299.99 would be debited from my account for an order and if I did not place the order (which I have not) to dial the number of (03) 5294 0137 to speak to their representative to cancel or refund the amount to my account.

Caller: Scammer pretending yo be Ebay

After my initial call I called back as I had a long car trip. I blocked my Caller ID first.
Kept them on the phone for quite a long time being extremely vague. Claimed I didn’t know any account details, etc. as I was driving.
I have them me number - the one I’d called. 😂😂

Caller: Scammer - pretending to be Ebay

I turned off my Caller ID and called back after the automated message as above the: $299 payment on EBay (and a quick google).
I told him he was a scammer and he immediately got defensive and started arguing asking why I wasted $1 on a scammer.
I told him my plan was unlimited so then he asked why I was wasting my battery. I kept telling him to get a real job, etc.

Eventually he hung up on me after asking why I was wasting my time and I told him it was actually HIS time I was wasting. 😂😂😂

Same as everyone else, automated message saying a debit to eBay will be processed unless you speak to someone

And I didn't realise eBay had an office in Newtown, good on them!
