I got one too, def scam, tried to phone the number back but it didn't even dial. Can we get Telstra to close the number down?

hmmm i have a tax scam apparently and will go to court. if i did then maybe i could afforrd some nice things in life.

Got a scam call this morning from "Alexandre Lee" from the "ATO" about "tax evasion" with a callback number of (03) 4309 4093.

Scam call purporting to be from ATO from this number today

Definate scam. A very interesting question arises from this - has anyone else had a recent official phone conversation with the ATO? Which would mean that our ATO has a wide open back door to their confidential IT systems!

Same here First call from (03) 4309 4093 then one minute later second call from a private number. I doubt that the melbourne number is genuine. I think it is an overseas call using a fake number to appear

Contacted ATO, they said this is a scam. Reported it to them.

This is a scam hang up the phone immediately if you get a call from this number. The ATO will never call you.

Another ATO tax scam. "Alexander Lee" telling us that we were in trouble :-) Reported it to the ATO so hopefully the cops get this scumbag.

Just received same call from same person. What is the ATO and the government doing about these scammers?
