NBN call about technician appointment. They only discussed reschedule of appointment, date/time and confirmed address for appointment that's all. No other details requested. When the call ended, I received a notification within 2mins from Telstra confirming the appointment we agreed on during the call.

Calls that start talking about your system being hacked or about security breach and need access to your system or payments to secure the appointment or to avoid disconnection or unsolicited install of additional services, is very likely a scam. I think its legit coz they know my address and booking time for my NBN appointment.

I am inclined to agree with Ange here: when you call it back it is an unattended number but when I checked my call history with that number on my phone, I have one or two calls of a few minutes each on that number and it times with when I raised a damage repair issue with them. I advise that if you have contacted NBN in the recent past, check if you have a call history with this number. If you do, there is every chance it is their customer service response centre.

I have been trying to fix my nbn and missed this call so know it's legit.

Initially I was cautious as they claimed to be from NBN but it was a typical scammer type of call. I did have an NBN appointment the next week so I continued. They had all the details of the booking and only asked for confirmation of the day and time as well as any access issues for the technician. Never asked for personal information and it was 100% a legit call.
I think some of the scam reviews below simply had uneducated call centre workers who would have come across as scammers.

Rang multiple times, sounded like an Indian call centre, couldn't hear clearly - I heard NBN. I am setting up NBN currently, but everything is in order so this must be a scam. How are they getting this information??

Scam scam scam. Do not trust. My ISP has no record of any NBN orders. Note someone actually turned up at my place too which is frightening. Had a worksheet with the details

Seemed genuine to me.

If it was a scam they didn’t need to call me as he had my name my address and the provider details already. He knew I had just connected and all he asked was if it was working.

Caller claimed he was from NBN and said I had a scheduled appointment on the 22nd, except I don't. He hung up when I asked him what my full name was.
