They call me about 10 times a day. I've blocked them, but still get notified.

They claim they are from PayPal, an that someone has access your account.
This is a SCAM! do not buy into this, block number immediately.

Answered the call and the lady said she was PayPal and asked for me using my maiden name. I never had an account with my maiden name so I assumed it was a scam and hung up. Keeps calling me daily.

They called me a day after the real PayPal called me. I spoke to PayPal through my app and they informed me it’s a scam and to block the number.

I couldn’t help myself and the next time the number called I answered and abused the lady. Turns out this is the best port of call as I didn’t even have to bloc the number as they never called back after that.

I answered and it rang then someone answered asking for my husband, then when I said this wasn’t his number and asked who was calling she said oh it doesn’t matter since this isn’t his number . If it were a ligit business they would have told me who they were, I just laughed and said so your just bullsh*t and hung up on her .

American calling from a Sydney number. Generally conducted herself like a scammer, speaking over me forcefully.

Can 100% guarantee this is NOT from PayPal!!!! I contacted the real PayPal and they confirmed this is not from them. Do not give these scammers any of your information. Block this number. Do not fall for this scam. I’m sorry but the people here writing this is genuine, have either stupidity given their info to these fakes or are the actual scammers and are trying to make this number look legit. PayPal confirmed they do not call from Australian numbers if they contact customers. Don’t fall for it.

Called saying Paypal and owe a negative balance. Went onto Paypal website and called official number and they verified no negative balance and not their phone number. SCAM.

This is not pay pal. I contacted PayPal and they said that no number was authorised to contact me. Do not give you personal details to these people from this number. You are better off logging into your PayPal account and contacting PayPal through that way and check to see if they have tried to contact you.

Have had 3 missed calls already this morning and it's not even lunch time yet!!!! No voice mail messages have been left either. When I answered the 4th call the call was disconnected.I rang the number back and heard a recorded message with no introduction, that sounded like it was already half way through the sentence. A male American accent saying it was Paypal and the call was being recorded. Then a rustling sound as they fumbled with picking up the phone. I hung up immediately. Suspected scam call. Will be blocking this number.

Receiving many calls but no msg has been left. I will block this one.

Looks like it's PayPal and that would be right. We had a negative balance a few years ago. My husband was at the time incapacitated and could not take care of his affairs. I attempted to pay his PayPal amount (which I discovered only because of Ebay) however there was NO WAY OF PAYING it online. I couldn't log into the account. Reported this to PayPal and they just didn't understand I was merely trying to pay his account. In the end, I gave up chasing them. Now some 4 years later they're calling. PayPal - streamline your business and offer a better payment system then you will have revenue instead of paying staff to chase up these small amounts :)

Called on a local Sydney number and picked up right away when I called back. I contacted the real PayPal and they told me they have no record of calling me and don't use that type of phone number. They also contact on a number that you cannot call back on normally. So this is definitely a scam. When I called this number, the man asked for my identification which I did not give him. Block this number.
