Caller: PAYPAL This is not a scam call, it is in fact PayPal ringing to let people know they owe them money, if account has been debited by PayPal and there insufficient funds they try again , they then ring to find out when you are going to pay. People stating it’s a scam just go into your PayPal account and see if it is in negative- 100% it is , wish it was a scam because that would mean I owe no money 😂

Caller: Paypal supposedly They claim to be PayPal, makes sense as I owe them money, however it isn't them, as I have already arranged a way to pay my debt with PayPal, kept asked for details and got enraged when I refused. It's a scam number.

Caller: Probs PayPal I used PayPal to pay for an Online course. It was about 4K & 6 months interest free. The other option was my money at 3 payments. So I figured I’d use PatPal 😃 Anyway, 6 months interest free sounds to me like if you don’t pay the money back within 6 months you get hit with a big interest fee 🤷♂️ When I answered this caller last week, this is what I told him and he apologised for any inconvenience and left it at that. Now PayPal keep calling on this number and sending emails, but I think they are not playing according to the wording on the deal. Otherwise I simply would have used my own money, and this is what I told the caller the first time and he had no comeback 🤷♂️

Caller: 92587498 So many calls from this number with silence when answered. Why do they do that? What’s the point? Definitely not anything legit.

Caller: SCAM Call Paypal through the app, and they will verify that this number is a scam. DO NOT give them your details, even if you owe money, pay it online.

Caller: PayPal This is definitely a genuine PayPal accounts receivable number. I had received 6 calls over 3 days (never leaving a voicemail so assumed it was scam caller) and finally cracked the $hits after 6 calls that I called the number back. The reason for the call was due to me having an outstanding repayment on a Pay in 4 plan that I'd set up. Complete oversight on my end and I rectified it through the PayPal website, not over the phone, just to be certain I wasn't being scammed really well. Can confirm it is 100% legit PayPal and the multiple calls is what collections ALWAYS do, regardless of the company, and collections usually won't leave a voicemail because a LOT of people won't bother calling back to pay their debts, as proof in these comments. 💯 LEGIT PAYPAL.

This is not PayPal, if there are issues with your account, you will be contacted by email and asked to login and make the necessary adjustments. The claim by the person answering the call is that they do not have email access.

Caller: Maybe PayPal? Had 2 missed calls and answer the 3rd one, said hello and they hung up after 5 seconds and didn’t say anything.
I do owe PayPal some money lol and I’ve gotten a text and email too, so that seems legit but why not say anything when I answer. Very suss.
I’ll be blocking the number and I’ll settle my balance next week

Caller: PayPal To everyone saying this phone number is a scam-you are most likely dealing with a spoofed call. I received a call this morning, hung up after assuming it was a scam only to be told by PayPal when I asked that I had indeed been contacted this morning from that exact number. If you have a negative balance or owe anything (credit/pay in 4) they will call from this number, however if you do NOT and receive a call from this number-it is most likely spoofed.

Just another call centre scam run by Indians with a heavy accent despite trying to mask it. Paypal does not call customers and ask them to log into their accounts. They are just trying to steal your money. Hilarious to listen to them stating their "badge no" when they answer the phone. This is a first for me. Just hang up the call, and even better, try report them to Paypal to have them shut down once and for all.

Bloody Paypal scammers. They need to be prosecuted and shut down for trying to impersonate a legitimate company like Paypal. Disgraceful.
