Caller: I don't know but it certainly wasn't PayPal

Interesting since when I contacted PayPal they said they don't contact customers by phone and I don't actually have a PayPal account......

Missed a call from this number today - called back, and they said they were Paypal. I refused to gove them any details, and asked why they called me. She wouldn't say why, so I hung up. Then I called Paypal and was told that they do not contact customers this way, it's either a notification on the app, or an email.
This number is absolutely NOT from Paypal. I have blocked it.

Missed the call and called back according to the voice message it is PayPal, but sounds 10/10 like a scam since PayPal would normally email me or alert me in my account if I have any issues such as outstanding amounts owing

Any legitimate business will leave a message This one never does. When calling back they also ask for the last 3 digits of the card on file. Paypal also has numbers listed and this one is not on the list.

Ive blocked & reported to Scamwatch everyone should do the same! I returned a missed call only to get a voice recording telling me the number is disconnected and for me to type in last four digits on my bank account number..YEAH RIGHT!!!!

The number called and phone indicated it was suspected spam. Phone hung up as soon as I answered. Well 4 seconds after I answered. No background sound.

Scam. Have never had a PayPal account.

This is literally Paypal, was overdrawn but i’ve experienced it before, there can be a delay between putting money into your bank account and the balance on paypal after it’s been paid. Dunno why people are saying it’s a scam, they left a voicemail so i called back and there was a proper verification process that didn’t include giving any details that could be used to rip you off or steal money from you.

6 calls in 2 days from this number. I hung up when they first identified as a "PayPal Agent" and called PayPal myself. They confirmed that they had not tried to contact me and that the number was not one that they used. They took the details for their "security team", for as much as that good will do. If you receive a call from this number, make sure you also report to the ACMA ScamWatch site

100% Paypal. They've called me before for having an outstanding amount, which I paid on the spot - no issues and the account owing on my Paypal account was gone. I owe them money again, so they're trying to call me once again. I've read their terms and conditions, which states that I have up to 120 days to pay off any outstanding amounts myself, which I'm doing in installments. If you answer their calls, they will push you to pay it ALL on the spot.

Securely thru the app and at first she said no they only have this number and no one tried calling me there was no record - but then not long after messaged me and told me yes it was them and gave me his name of who called and the reason why the number is different is that they are from the collections department -(I didn’t realise I had a negative balance ) I still didn’t give out info I just settled it in the app and told PayPal they should let everyone know the number as it’s causing confusion and people thinking it’s a scam
