Answered, it was just an automated message. SCAM, DO NOT CALL BACK

It is a scam. I called PayPal advising the number and they confirmed its not them!

Not a scam, it is PayPal. I had overdrawn on my PayPal account and they were just chasing money. I logged into my PayPal accounts to check. All legit.

Calling me multiple times a day but it’s an immediate hang up on their end when I do answer. Blocked number but still getting missed call messages multiple times a day for some reason for the same number.

I owe paypal $50 I answered the number (02) 9258 7498 and it was asking if I could fix up my account.

Had 4 missed calls from this number and thought it was probably bupa chasing overdue payment but wasn't sure so hopped on to check and read the comments, sure enough I jumped on to PayPal and I had a negative balance for something I had purchased last week.
The call itself is not a scam, but if you suspect you don't owe anything then it could be saying you have overdue negative balance due to someone hacking your paypal or making an account with your details and racking up an amount on there.

Didn’t answer the call because I didn’t recognise the caller. Although, unlike many others, they left a voicemail. I don’t have a PayPal account. But my ex husband does. And they were asking for him. But my number is not connected to his PayPal. It seems suss but my ex told me he does in fact have a small negative balance. Still very odd that they would be calling me instead.

Paypal - my account went into negative which is fixed up but the calls are unrelenting over a few days. As I didn’t know the number I didn't answer. They are very persistent.

I had 2 missed calls from this number. I dont answer unknown numbers anymore. Unfortunately they dont leave a message which makes it seem sus. I had a google and saw mixed reviews saying its paypal or a scam. So I logged into paypal and saw I did owe them some money. There was no unusual activity on my account either. So I topped up my account and no further calls. They really should leave a message though. As a lot of people dont answer random calls. But just to be safe if you get this call. Just log into your paypal account and check - you dont have to give the random on the phone any info and you dont have to even answer it. But just check your account as I was in the red and did owe them some money for online purchases I had made.

This is not a scam call, it is in fact PayPal ringing to let people know they owe them money, if account has been debited by PayPal and there insufficient funds they try again , they then ring to find out when you are going to pay.
People stating it’s a scam just go into your PayPal account and see if it is in negative- 100% it is , wish it was a scam because that would mean I owe no money 😂

They claim to be PayPal, makes sense as I owe them money, however it isn't them, as I have already arranged a way to pay my debt with PayPal, kept asked for details and got enraged when I refused. It's a scam number.

I used PayPal to pay for an Online course. It was about 4K & 6 months interest free. The other option was my money at 3 payments. So I figured I’d use PatPal 😃 Anyway, 6 months interest free sounds to me like if you don’t pay the money back within 6 months you get hit with a big interest fee 🤷‍♂️
When I answered this caller last week, this is what I told him and he apologised for any inconvenience and left it at that. Now PayPal keep calling on this number and sending emails, but I think they are not playing according to the wording on the deal. Otherwise I simply would have used my own money, and this is what I told the caller the first time and he had no comeback 🤷‍♂️

liar. this is a scam. Why would paypal ring me claiming I have an overdrawn account when I dont have a paypal account? SCAM!!!
