Caller asked for operating hours, told him the hours were correct.. he pushed, I told him we do not provide info over the phone. Looked up his number and found similar issues here.

Supposedly from Google maps checking our business hours. I told him to go to Google maps and check our hours that are listed there! These people are quite stupid.

They have called me today. The first thing he said was this call is being recorded. And the asking you random questions to persuade you to talk. Record your voice and use it for IVR Systems. Definitely scammers.

Caller runs through a spiel about updating Google listings for your business and requests your opening hours for the 7 days.

I replied with a question on what happens if we're not open 7 days and caller rephrased their question asking for our opening hours.

I asked who was calling and was advised by the caller that they were an "automated system created by Google".

I hung up immediately.

Claiming to be from google maps with an foreign accent about updating our business operating hours. Clearly not from google because if he was he would've seen that our operating hours has been updated recently.

Yes same - google maps automated call apparently - was a real person looking for business hours. We currently have an issue with our website so hoping we're not being targeted by scammers at the moment....

Same as a few of theother posters here said. They wanted to update my business hours and i told them they are already there on Google My Business. If it was really google they would know that, so definitly some sort of scam. The guy hung up when i pointed that out to him

I just had the same thing it was smart enough to ask me questions but I could not ask it... It was rude and annoying said they were calling from google maps to update our hours

A person with either an American or Canadian accent called claiming it was Google Maps and it was an automated service which was weird. Asked us about opening hours which I thought was weird as well since we can update via our Google Account. I was carefully not to say the word "yes" in case they were recording to scam a IVR system but I'm not the business owner and I didn't give my name out.

Call was from google maps wanting to update work hours for the 7 days, advised my business is already on google showing work hours so he could get it from there..he replied 'oh ok' then hung up!!

Wanted to update our business hours on Google. They kept saying they were an automatic service caller and only demanded that i answer their questions while refusing to answer any of my questions. Half of the time they were not listening to me so why ring when they do not have good listening ears??? Was it a automatic robo call or a real person?
