Called claiming that an amazon purchase I made last night was on hold and that I needed to give them a otp from amazon so that they could resolve the issue. Obviously spam, either ignore or waste their time.

Got called by this random number. I knew thus was scam but played along anyways. A female with a Philipino accent answered and started saying that someone had ordered things on my Amazon and was asking if she should cancel it. She said my name was fletcher (which it isnt 't).Then proceeded to send a text verification code. I said that I didn't order anything but asked to cancel them. She then got her supervisor. An man with a heavy Indian accent then started talking. I then asked if they could call me back on another number because my phone was 'dying'. I then gave them the local police number and hung up.

Don’t bother. Scam. Asking if I placed an order with Amazon so I immediately knew it’s a scam although I actually recently used Amazon. A lady with a horrible accent said that someone from Germany placed an order using my Amazon account. Ok thanks bye. Blocked.

A female Indian scammers cold calling pretending to be Amazon, they're saying that my account is compromised as I purchased a Sony Camera last night and it is an IP address from the Ukraine. I asked them to verify my Amazon account details and she said they cannot due to security reasons & I then came out and said I'm a hacker and can see their VOIP address and will be turning their webcam on right now - I then get called a "piece of sh1t" and they hang up. Big LOL moment.

Caller said they were from Amazon and that someone had ordered two coffee machines on my account. Scam to me

This Lady has called me to say I have placed an order last night under my amazon account under a Mark Williams. I have no Amazon account. She tried to convince me but she failed.

?Indian guy claiming to be from amazon - states they are looking into some purchases made in Germany late last night '17 attempts' and said I'm going to go ahead and block third party purchases just stay on the line, when I asked if I could call them back they refused to give me a number and hung up

Call from this number to my mobile. Male. America (?) accent. Said he was calling from Amazon. Having trouble with fake Amazon orders on my account. Asked for details so he could check. I said I would look online. He hurriedly hung up.

Just got a scam call from this number pretending to be from Amazon. A female operator with a Thick Indian said I have placed an order last night for a IPhone 13 in Germany, asked me whether I have made this order to whether to approve it or to cancel it, then sent me a text for verification code and asked me for that verification code to confirm I’m the real account owner. I then asked her what did I purchase prior to this order, she said she cannot tell me anything until she verified I’m the account owner with this mobile number. She was very pushy, I kept asked her how do I know you are from Amazon? She got frustrated and said only official Amazon can send the verification code, I replied “any scammer can send any codes”. Then she said “fine, I will approve your order and you will lose your money”. I raised my voice “Excuse me . That’s very bad service! All I’m asking is an Amazon official number that I can call back”. Then she asked me to speak and give code to her manager. I said without verifying you are from Amazon I’m not giving you any code. Then I ended the conversation and blocked this number.Scammers get very desperate towards end of the year to meet their KPI…

Indian sounding woman obviously in a call centre. Asked if I ordered iMac and canon camera. I gave her a run around so she hung up. Blocked number after this call.

Guy said from Amazon - I said what do you want. He Hung up

Much the same experience as Anonymous on December 15. He hung up on me after I strung him along for a while. I don't have an Amazon account so knew it was a scam attempt.

Called back at 04:00. Number not connected. Spam call. Blocked.

Caller: Scammer pretending to be from amazon

Had a call centre person call me saying that they have an order placed on Amazon and they need my approval. I knew it was a scammer straight away and played along with my apparent purchase. Instantly I received a text message with a OTP code - clever….said I could not read the number as I lost my glasses. hahaha she was getting so frustrated at me. After stringing her along for 7mins I could not hold the laughter anymore and hung up.

They had hacked into my paypal account and shut it down after making two purchases. They were trying to get my CC details from me. They sent a text from PayPal and knew my previous purchases. Scum. I didn't give them anything they didn't already have and have contacted my bank. CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.

an india guy calling says about Amazon account. Dont know what he talk about it. Such a weird fraud call. Why Always is INDIAN doing fraud things?!!!

PHISHING SCAM. Said he was from Amazon and that my account had been compromised. He sent an OTP to my phone and asked me to verify...halfway through quoting the OTP my brain worked out it was a scam and I hung up.
