Caller: Telstra Accounts Service

It is a legitimate Telstra call.
Automated call advising of a late bill payment required.
They will tell you your name and year of borth and then ask you to type in your day and month of birth. Then you will be advised how much is owing and options to pay or leave a message on your account that it will be paid by a certain date.

Said they were Telstra, and were reminding me to pay my over=due phone bill. Funny, I don't have a Telstra phone account!! Googled the number and found this site. Must have been a scam.

Agree - this must have been Telstra coz later in the day they called me a couple of times with "No caller ID" and then they went thru the full identification procedure

The call provided an automate voice that stated there was an amount of 128.40 (or some number about that) overdue and then provided my year of birth and asked my day and month of birth which I did provide. It then provided options to pay. I took the latter of each option and got to speak to some. They refused to provide me with the account number and hung up on me. If it is Telstra then they were extremely unprofessional.

Tried the call, it's a Telstra automated system if you are late with your bills. It isn't a scam as it cross checks your date of birth and tells you the outstanding amount and asks if you can commit to future payment and when. It's not a fraud as it knows my balance details, this info wouldn't be right if it was fake. Legit Telstra call.
