Indian shella, new my business name claimed to be FROM CBA sydney number (02) 8055 4001. She wanted 20 minutes of my time........... I said to send all my problems to the branch and I will go see them directly. Scammer for sure

Actually, it's a genuine call. I called my local bank who verified it and put me through. It was relative to business I am currently attending up with them.

Called my local CBA after missing this call and they adv it was a genuine call. They transferred me through to the business dept (I am in the process of setting up this new account ). Sorted what needing doing and all good.

I'm always suspect abit paranoid these days with scams. I missed the call but minutes later got a message advising me to check my email, which I did. Email from CBA asking me to call with details of business I am currently doing with them. I called back, go an indian accent ...'m not racist, my SIL is Indian but so many scams with that accent :( ... and thought, "Oh, here we go!" I gave him the reference number and he asked my name. I said he should have it and he explained he needed it to send me verification through the commbank app. I provided my name, waited for the verification message and went from there. All above board and you can safely respond to that number from my experience.

This number is genuis CBA, i was sensitive when they called me, recorded all case number etc and callback commonweath bank to continue the progress. it appears that this call is from CBA and comes with all call history.

If they want KYC .. they can invite me into my closest branch ... I won't be updating anything over the phone .. I'd prefer to do it person.... better to be safe than scammed!

Requested for my personal details - told them they were ringing the wrong number - they rang again and when I answered with my name they hang up. Either a scammer or CBA is just so unprofessional.

They said they wanted to update my details, I only just opened an account with commbank so I thought it was legit, told them I'm busy I'll talk to them tomorrow. Anyways missed their call the next morning later that afternoon I called the 80554001 number and there was no wait time, no AI automated system asking verification code or details or why I am calling. Someone bloke answered I asked him, be like a 6 digit number starting with 13. He replied saying if I go onto the website under customer some bullsh*t I will find it, I said let me call you back. I typed this number in on Google and bingo here I am

This is definitely a scam, someone said its Bank West and now its CBA.. I don't think so. Also they would not contact you asking for all your personal details. They would also not refuse to provide their cba working reference numbers or names. They always disclose their name and their ID number if they are a legitimate bank teller asking for your personal details, that way if you have a formal complaint you can make one.
