Caller: The Usual "We have a case filed under...."

Hung up when I received this crank call! These calls increased due to recent uses of numbers with contact tracing for Covid at restaurants

Received same call. ATO will never call you direct. SCAM.
Do not press any numbers, hang up.

I didn’t answer and there was no voicemail thanks everyone for posting. And anyway, what number in Sydney starts with a 7? New one on me. Came up on my phone as (02) 7908 4174 Sydney New South Wales. Now blocked. As an aside, yesterday I logged on to the ATO site via MyGov for the first time in months...lo and behold the above number calls me Others have flagged the caller is an ATO scammer. Coincidence??

Caller: robocall from "tax office"

Told me my tax file no. had been suspended and to find out about my "legal case" I needed to press 1. I hung up and blocked the number.

What a joke, the ATO don’t call you, they send 10 letters then start garnishing your salary .
As I pay my tax.
Told them to piss off.

They have phoned 3 times today 17.33 pm 19.43 pm & 19.58 pm Comes up on my mobile as scam call Blocked it

Tax file number robocall scammer.Has multiple lines for different scams.
Uses robocall after hours otherwise it’s Indian Girl reading a flowchart script.
Also do solar panel, Telstra password compromised, internet line compromised so need new line spiel,federal tax court threats.

Telling me I'd bee arrested and my tax file number deleted. Blocked call number. Getting very sick of these constant calls about tax, motor accidents, computer errors etc. Grrrrrr

Caller: ATO roboScammer

Robotics/computerised male voice claims to be "services Australia" and claims that "your tax ID number has been cancelled" and urges "press 1 to find out about the legal case".

Obviously a scam, did not press 1 as it would just go to a scammer and waste my time.

Caller: Pre recorded message. This time time Services Australia

Apparently my TFN has been stolen. Press 1 for help.................

Recorded "robot" voice saying my TFN has shown suspicious activity and an arrest warrant has been issued.
I had same call from another number this time a mobile 0406 ........

I just received a Robocall from this number saying the same. I have blocked the number.

I didn’t answer but when I put my phone on ‘private’ and called it back I received an automated voice message saying “this number has been disconnected to to suspected or actual fraud activity”.

Said I would be arrested if I didnt answer by pressing 1. Because I had illegal activity.
Ahhh ha ha - Bring it on.

Claimed to be the taxation department and threatened a lawsuit. I am a minor. I don't have any prior criminal record. This call was obviously a scam. I have no idea why I'm receiving so many scam calls today, this is the third one.
