Pre-recorded message said my Tax File number will be disabled if I don't pay fine.

Caller: SCAMMER

This phone number is from a scammer.

Thankfully, the call was block as spam, and am not gullible enough to call them back. Was just one digit off another number making the rounds - (02) 7908 4175. Also had a call earlier from mobile number 0415 781 399 - they were also shouting about tax stuff. I promptly hung up and blocked them. Am on the Do Not Call Register, so, not sure how they got through. Slippery bastards.

Scammer for "tax" fraud

Not having recognised the number, I simply said: "Hello". The pause before the voice message was a dead giveaway. With the benefit of hindsight, I would not have said anything, as, no doubt, my voice was recorded. I suspect they retain my voice for voice recognition matters for ATO etc.

Hung up when I answered.

Caller: Arrest warrant

The caller left a message to contact them urgently (and press 1) before the matter goes to the federal court. Apparently I have some arrest warrant issued under my name.
I've had the exact same message from another number (this one is mobile phone number).

Caller: (02) 7908 4174 pretending to be Services Australia

The recorded message said they are Services Australia and my tax file number is suspended and I have a court case. Asked to dial 1 to get information. I dialled 1 and told the man who answered that he was a fake and ATO said not to listen to him. Then I hung up.

Keep getting these calls and now the latest one was saying they were from Services Australia (which is Centrelink) saying my tax file number is being suspended and legal action is being taken against me! Where are they getting our mobile phone numbers is my concern!

Scammer saying that I have illegal activity under my name, my tax file number has been suspended and an arrest warrant is going to happen. Yet another number that I need to block!!

Caller: Male - very robotic sounding

Same BS as others herein. Number blacklisted. Surely someone in authority can track this scammer down and pin his legs to the cell floor?

Be careful .. it's not just Indians anymore lol. They've upped their game and decided to use recorded Australian voices claiming to be from the government.

Just got a call to my mobile from this number (02) 7908 4174) with a generic message saying something about a case about to be reported to a federal department. Clearly scam.

Received call from this number. Didn’t answer as I was in a meeting but no message was left. Will be blocked but suspect they’ll try again from another number.

Yes, just had the same thing five minutes ago. Computer style voice threatening the same subject and apprehension details. Laughable. Idiot even asked me to press 1 for further assistance.
